  • Released in 1988, this classic Tamiya model kit, No. 35087, is a re-box (changed box only) of Tamiya's original Stug IV model, Kit No. MM87, from 1976.
This older style model kit includes a Commander figure, open or closed hatches, exterior fittings and accessories, 'Schurzen' side armour, vinyl tracks, and optional concrete frontal armour.
A basic painting and markings guide is included. Marking included both Tactical and Divisional Insignia.
Nice "Weekend Build" model kit, suitable for modellers of all experience levels.

Remember building this and I think it was a bad kit. Bad fit and all. You cannot expect good fit from a 1970s kit.

Quite a few of Tamiya's early kits, like this one, were made for motorisation, as you can see by the battery locations in the lower hull, and the slot for the on/off switch. Which usually meant basic detail, and poor fitting between the top and bottom hulls, which allowed the batteries to be replaced. Thankfully that phase didn't continue. Cheers!
