- In this video I show you how to how to use Riftcat. Riftcat allows you to turn any android phone into a VR headset to play PC VR games without an expensive headset.

mine says its updating and then says its not responding and just shuts down

The instructions were not very clear. I tried this and it show in vr my computer screen and I currently had vridge open it was also running but what I saw was like I said before, my computer screen, also I saw a steam vr icon but it did not straight up open steam vr home and that’s exactly what I’m trying to open (please help)

An ACTUAL virtual reality headset, even cheap windows mixed reality headsets will work.
A gtx 1060 6gb or an rx 580 8gb, a powerful cpu, and enough usb 3 ports and bluetooth 4.0 for it

@@tonywoods1226 1080ti 4gb?, those don't exist, they're scams made up by people, you probably bought a really bad disguised graphics card, and just saying I5 doesn't mean anything, is it an i5 6600k? and what ghz is it? i5's have different specs, they can be really really bad, or really really good.

A way to make it less laggy is lowering the resolution how you do that is when your streaming it on ur computer it will show a bar that you can slide and you can lower the resolution so it will be less laggy
first riftcat stucks at preparing stream and second i have a steamvr fail called 476
When the steam vr open say "Headset not detected" i tried the wifi connection, the usb connection, and don't change, what i make?

1. Is steamVR free?
2. Can this VRidge run only the VR games on steam or can it run ther downloaded games on PC(like in desktop)
3. Can i run android VR games through this app?

Heads up!
1. Steam VR is free but not all SteamVR games are free.
2. It's only for SteamVR, but almost all computer VR games work through Steam VR anyway.
3. You cannot run Android VR games with this app. Android VR games use Google cardboard or Daydream (both free apps).

For those wondering how to move just use the mouse and keyboard it's very simple not that hard if you know the PC movement on your keyboard

@Hassan pro Gamer Hello, you can surf with this vr glasses and normal gamepad. You can even play some games, especially car and airplane games, with the joypad and keyboard. But unfortunately you can't play first person games like Alyx. Other apparatuses are required for him.
It works at first but vr gear controller and ps move controller not working. Now I couldn't get into steamvr without getting Steam error code 422 and 306. Will reinstall everything again while waiting for my HTC Vive to ship over.

Same thing happened but it told me to download it so I did then it told to restart the PC i did and it worked :)

Use a Bluetooth controller
Before I did this with my oculus go before I had my oculus go I did this with my phone very terrible with the oculus go it wasn’t bad but it would be better to buy a vr headset because it will increase frame rate I just got a oculus rift so I recommend getting a oculus or psvr

You seriously can't compare the quality of this and a real VR headset. The difference is amazingly huge..
And even though its "possible", it's seriously worth experiencing it with a vive/oculus/wmr headset rather through a phone. Especially now when you can get VR headsets really cheap.
Some of the cheapest VR Headsets are the Windows Mixed Reality headsets which still come in at over $200. This is about a $25 set up for someone who doesn't want to spend $200+

SteamVR can't find the headset, but the phone is plugged in and USB tethering is on. What do I do?
riftcat on my laptop just says "preparing the stream", while saying "connected! waiting for stream" on my phone. and then nothing happens. and steamvr either says "now playing steamvr home" or "standing by put on your headset to wake vr" but I can't get a game to work
