- The former chairperson of VBS Mutual Bank, Tshifhiwa Matodzi, has been handed a 495-year sentence for theft, fraud, money laundering and racketeering.
As part of a plea and sentence agreement, Matodzi admitted to being personally involved in the theft of the billions of rand by creating fictitious credit in VBS accounts that was then transferred to other accounts. His affidavit has now been leaked and it mentions the EFF leaders Julius Malema and Floyd Shivambu.
My heart goes out to the people who lost their pensions. I pray that they be compensated.

I am interested in this case, there seem to be a lot of gaps:
° VBS scandal is not an issue for today, it has been playing out in public for a while and Matodzi was there and alive
° He confirms having gone to JM"s house facilitated by Lufuno Gogoro, may his soul rest in peace
° The reason for him to have gone to the CIC's house was to give clarity on Zuma's loan, which was a serious issue in parliament and the EFF was leading a campaign against same
° He is the one who came up with a proposal for a donation to the EFF provided they open a VBS Bank Account, which they did not do
° The only witness in this case will be Matodzi against JM, FS, Brian and the EFF since Lufuno is nomore and Marshal was not part of the meeting
° The case is interesting and it looks like people would like to use state apparatus to tarnish the image of the EFF and her leadership
° Lastly, I would appreciate to hear exactly how many ANC comrades have been implicated and for how much out of the R1,9bn stolen?

There's no hard proof on a paper that implicates any eff members so far by law. Floyd brother was granted a loan on this his company registration account.
