there is a difference, many times, when you hold them in hand tho...for example, retail 6's are much heavier than budget built UA's......they hold up on foot longer too. Not saying you shouldn't buy reps, we all do... but the "eye test" only tells half the story. I've had many *very* close to 1:1's tho but ive also gotten bad batches. So there really is more risk buying reps

That’s how shoes are legit checked. It’s not about calling out people that’s wearing fakes. It’s about not getting scammed buying fake kicks for retail or resell prices. So sometimes dissecting a shoe is necessary if your hard earned money is involved.

Luis rivera one of the 23’s in the back of the tabs is higher than the other one. The red heel sole coming up from the back of the shoe is more rounded than pointed. One of the jumpmans is lower than the other one. It’s just a bunch of small details that annoy me, specially for such a pricey shoe.

Great video! One thing I noticed is that on the fake shoe, the backside of the red bottom sole has a sharper tip at the pointed end than the real one. Also, those carbon fiber squares on the fake aren't uniformed. The retail shoe has more defined carbon fiber blocks.

Bro. I bought my pair from the Nike App and some of the cut was terrible. I think mass production had a bad job on a lot of the shoes. Let’s face it. These fake Jordan makers are starting to make their fake shoes look too legit. It’s not going to even matter anymore. You can’t tell per the back though that it’s a lot fatter, but mad I wear a size 14. Feet will eventually stretch it. Nike has to find a way to legitimize their shoes now.

I don’t think these are being made Fake intentionally. There are pairs thrown to the side because of QC issues. Even the color of the box can make them fail QC.... essentially it’s a real shoe with QC issues

Yo good vid keep up the good work ! One comment it all however and he was right. The jump man is usually key. The logo is embossed, you can see the depth, a little deeper into the leather. Fake stitchers use stitching guides to make it look legit. If it is not embossed into the leather its a give away. You also want to look at overall stitching and spacing between tongues and overlay. The fakes give away in details. No fakes in 2019 look fake thats just a reality.

I think this fake is okay because the blocks aren’t as bold looking like the ones on the legit pair. Stitching on the jump man and back heel part is better on the legit pair. And now we know that the legit pairs’ shoe tree turns orange when black lighted 😂. I think the latest batch will probably fix everything and have the card. Just not the right shoe tree.

Without being in hand, theres basically no way to tell the diff. Legit pair looks worse with residue than the UA pair. I used to legit check older kicks all day and was very good at it on a team with other Sole Collector forum members but I wouldn't even try these days.

Very confusing. The only difference was the sticker in the box. Both shoes had the same flaws. How do you know they didn't give you a fake shoe in a legit box? How do you know if a big portion of those 2.100.000 pairs of legit Breds won't be worst than those fakes? I got mine from the shock drop and it does not look better than that fake pair. As a matter of fact the jumpman in those fakes looks better than in my legit pair. I don't support UA's and I always go legit, but if they were made in the same factory, with the same materials, with the same machinery, how does it make them fakes? You are paying extra for a pair distributed by Nike, but it's the same shoe. And at the end, it doesn't even matter because all these UA's and Legit pairs end up mixed up in Stock X and those who missed the retail, might end up with fakes and they will never know. Another case will be that they might get a legit pair that has flaws and will end up thinking they are fakes. This whole thing is very confusing XD
Nothing confusing at all it a pretty straight forward review . You can’t speak in absolutes when it comes to where the shoes were made. That’s not always the case that both shoes came from the same factory. With both shoes in hand you can tell what’s real and the fake with out a doubt. If they were alone you couldn’t tell .

You can tell real from fake, look at the back of the shoe, where the red sole meets the white, then the white meets the patent leather, it's more of a point, the fakes are more rounded!!!

Not sure what exactly the point of this review was…Those minor changes can be chalked up to QC mishaps on the assembly line and not necessarily fake vs. real.
The question is what defines real??? The sample size is not nearly large enough to assert definitively what’s fake.
Well I just got them at footlocker but i wanna get the fake pair so i can wear it all day evryday and incase i get called out i just show'em my real pair. Although i don't wanna pay the real price for them fakes maybe for $50.

Just call em copies. I don't like to think something's in the clothing world is fake. They use basically the same materials. Like some folks mention. The qualities making the copy might not be as QA controlled like bigger brand names.

Crazy how far some buddies have come, people can pull these off for the weekend no doubt. True test is the wear. Ill admit i gave it a go not once but twice and both times having known what the authentic model feels like is what threw it off even for casual wear. That was atleast 15yrs ago however.

If you go to a nike factory in china, you will see a lot of rejects item. Meaning, its not fake. It came from the same factory but didn't pass the quality control. So sometimes the items you thought its fake were also originals. I know these things coz I once worked in nike warehouse. Even in warehouse, we still check the items for quality control.
