    Very here for this. So good to see an RTS pro like uThermal pick it up. Other coaching sessions spend so long teaching RTS that you only get a glimpse of what makes WC3 so different

    • @doctorstainy

      Yeah its refreshing to see someone understanding the basic game mechanics, compare this to the wow and lol guys he was playing with its another world.

      @@doctorstainy I mean its going to be easier to coach someone who has never left the RTS genre and still plays on the regular, even if its a different game. He just has to learn WC3's specific mechanics and he'll be able to produce some really good games.

    Wow, truly amazing, I always knew Grubby is really good, but as a non-player it's hard to catch all the small and minute things a high level player does throughout a game
    And then we have uThermal, who can take in and understand the quick call outs from Grubby
    Really fun to watch this, the thumbnail is spot on lmao!

    • @MrMrtvozornik
      @MrMrtvozornik 4 месяца назад +20

      Because he's looking for it in a sense. In LoL professional scene there was this one Bulgarian player Hilysang, who would review his teammates' gameplay from their POV, so he could see them where they click, down to the point of asking them "why did you hesitate here?" just by the space amount of clicking back away from the opponent.
      No different really than a musician in the audience hearing a single instrument in orchestra missing couple of notes. That's what thousands of hours and being among the best in the field does to a mofo.

    • @crumble1400
      @crumble1400 4 месяца назад +4

      It's kinda like basketball where the ball is the center of attention. When teaching someone in RTS their mouse movement gets a lot of attention cause you can observe their thought process based on its movement

    • @MrMrtvozornik
      @MrMrtvozornik 4 месяца назад

      @@crumble1400 Yup, watching the mouse movement. Only thing better for expediating training would be to install eye tracker too, so you can see where the person looks too. Back when I coached people League I seriously considered investing in it, both for my sake and entertainment, and for training purposes of my close relatives. Sadly back then it was too expensive and even if I had it, it would do nothing for online clients, unless they had it too, so I never splurged on the idea. Would be fun though. Although I do think less serious people about improving would be utterly freaked out by the prospect of their coach knowing what they're looking at, at all times, eyes are windows to the soul and all that.

      Banking resources in sc2 is bad practice unless you are literally max population and full upgrade but in WC3 it makes sense in certain situations and spending it effectively is more important then say “lets warp in some stalker since they off cooldown”

    • @norberthiz9318
      @norberthiz9318 4 месяца назад +4

      @@TofuofLight not neccesarily true, there are a bunch of sitatuations where you bank porpusefully in sc2, tho admittedly not with terran which is utheremals main. Zerg often banks while waiting for their tech structrures to finish, like banking a lot of gas before spire finishes to instantly make a lot of mutas, or waiting for a lurker den and so on. Protoss also doesn't just spend all their money on stalkers unlesss its a pvp. stalkers are very gas heavy and you need that gas for the tech units. Usually you make as few stalkers as you can get away with in pvt and pvz, like making 5 stalkers agaisnt terran so you can 2 shot a medivac, so you are safe vs drops, but you don't keep making stalkers unless you want to attack

    First class entertainment Grubby! I play WC3 myself and i learnt a lot for my own game too. (I play Human and im a Noob too.)
    Suggestion for you:
    Invite 3 other Players from Fanbase or other Streamers and teach them how to play Orc, NE, UD. So everyone can get a decent Player in their race. (Maybe try to reach individual goals with them for their race).
    I think this has great entertainmentpotential and your viewers can learn how to play their races better.
    You can also do some kind of application rounds (playerpool is your fanbase) for one or two races and fanbase and you decide how is the most entertainment pick for teaching :D
    Keep up your great work and cheers.
