I had a game where somebody flamed me for using a storm, despite the fact he was ahead in the game and did tons of harassment damage. He didn't micro out of the storms at all, missed all his Snipes with his ghosts. Then he told me templars are imbalanced 😂😂😂😂
@@abzeromusicif I had 5 MMR for every game I was ahead but lost because of imperfect army control (or extremely fair and balanced units such as the Ghost), I'd be grandmaster
@@chloesmith4065 I highly recommend you get someone else to compare your replays to people with higher MMR. Either the word "imperfect" is used in place of "atrocious" here, or there are much bigger problems. Even most pros don't have perfect army control, and they would crush you on the spot. Now, ghosts, those are hard to deal with.
I can't even blame MaxRax. He didn't really make any bold statements in his complaint. He just doesn't realize that when the game is an uncoordinated clusterfuck, the mistakes add up and decide the tide even though individually they seem insignificant. It's more like complaining that he lost his life savings on a coin toss (pun not intended) 😅
4:38 - Heya Cap't. The term you're looking for is "Rock Hound". it is an English slang term for someone that collects and has interest in all types of rocks and usually geologic formations.

No one should be embarrassed to suck at SC2; even pros make embarrassing mistakes. However, you should be embarrassed that you suck at analyzing your replays after getting to Plat. It's fine if you can't see all the mistakes, but you should be able to see the flaws in your fundamentals and see a few key moments when the tide turns. It's not applicable to this video, but It's embarrassing how many Plat and Diamond IODIS submitters miss something as fundamental "I stopped making workers with 2-3 ccs for 1½minutes at the 5 minute mark because I tunneled on controlling my harassing units" or "my build order was so sloppy that my opponent was up 30 supply by the 6 minute mark even though we haven't fought yet"
This may be a case of what is or isn't balanced being different at different skill levels. Protoss's ability to reactively warp in is only good if you have free supply and money floating. These are things which lower leagues excell at, so maybe it's relatively stronger down there.
I mean to be fair, unbinding the all-army key is one of the first things the other youtubers will tell you to do so you're forced to practice better army control mechanics. Then again, they also won't tell you to pull workers off of mining that aren't actually being harassed yet.. so there's that.
11:51 "what would someone intelligent do" ehh, if its an intelligent Terran player he would be minimum 5.6k mmr, because under that they are seriously braindmgd to still lose enough for such low mmr... like they dont even need to siege, just an A move would have won right ;P when terran lose its because they have shot themselve in the foot on seemingly purpose at least 2-3 times in a match but sometimes over 12+ times and can still win :P
I don't really play SC2 but seems to me he lost because he didn't protect his tanks. He just send all with A-move and let all his army die without tank support. Isn't 3k good rating? Shouldn't player at 3k be better than that?
3k is like plat 1 or 2, so Maxrax is above average. Of course they look terrible when a pro like Harsten (6.5k? Protoss, 5.9k Terran) is coaching, but Maxrax is doing a good amount right as well. It looks easy watching the pros control their armies while macroing well but actually quite hard in practice.
@@Fimbu1vetr I played only SC1 but SC2 I haven't played much. I don't think I would be at 3k, but when I played SC1 , I never let my tanks die like that.
Doesnt feel like theres much point game reviewing this mmr, the players have such obvious holes in their gameplay that they need to fix before a "real" game can occur, like terrans horrible army movement, toss parking his army in 3 tanks and losing all his robo units, ect.
8:18 its just op terran, ive seen maru do something semilar and get dmg :P terran mines and ghost are the most broken op units in the game, which only takes braindamage lvl off intelligence to use efficiently ^^
the line "if I dont pay attention to my army, I die. If protoss pays no attention, they are fine" is actually really accurate and reflects the Ladder as a whole. Its just that protoss gets worse and worse the better their opponent is at multitasking. Pro players struggle playing toss because they cant take advantage of this "strength" of protoss
They are both bad... But maybe they were nervous, or smth... I had shaking hands in my first ranked matches... and my macro, which is really great against AI... its worst against real players... not bc they are playing good... its bc they are playing dumb... This is one of those IODISes, where terran is legit crap but stays viable for a long time due to the race and having ok trades despite always being at half the army value.
11:04 That fight really hurt to watch. Protoss goes back allowing you to go to the third and kill it, or at least all the probes in there, while your tanks cover them (or if not kill it, then jump into the main with the medivacs, continuing to harass), but instead he goes into the super battery... kills nothing, and does not micro the marines back so they are killed by his own tank splash damage instead, effectively throwing any advantage he had up to that point out the window. Not to mention half his army being unsused at his base, instead of helping with a multiprong. Hell, he could have just A move and win the game at that point had he used it all together.
"Way worse than p" isn't quite right either. Toss was making all kinds of mistakes too, there's a reason Terran was able to get a supply lead early and it's not just because of the lucky 12 workers killed. They're in the same league for a reason. He said he's 3000 MMR, but I'm guessing that's the highest MMR he's reached, but usually sits closer to 2800.
