We were in totality for the eclipse and that was cool. You’re so right about the light quality-its just so different than any other time. I felt like you about Lessons in Chemistry-infuriated about what she had to go through but loved my reading time.
I couldn't even handle the TV show Man Men. The way women were treated during that era was infuriating. I do appreciate stories that highlight the accomplishments of women. Happy Reading 📚.
Interesting to hear what you think of this book. This is the book had the most holds on Libby at my library. At one point there were over 1,000 holds. It's still over 100 holds today. I was wondering why it's so popular.
I feel like I need to try to read this book again. I actually DNF’d it earlier in the year. I went in completely blind, and I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had known what it was about prior to starting it. I remember being horrified and disgusted by how she was being treated and really didn’t want to keep reading it on page anymore. I was also disturbed by some of the body image talk by the young daughter at the very beginning of the book.
One thing I’ve realized lately is I am completely turned off by books that introduce assault at the very beginning of the book. I need to bond with the characters more before the story line goes to assault. Otherwise I just want to close the book and not read any more. This was my biggest issue with this book-just a personal preference.
I must give this book a go and see what I think prayers and blessings for you and your amazing husband 😂and your beautiful daughters love your Aussie family friend and number one fan John ❤❤❤
The vase is actually cute.💜💜💜
🤣🤣 I’ll tell him you said so!

It was such a unique event!
And woohoo for a win!!!
I read that book a few months ago , and loved it. It was a crazy different story to read, I especially liked how she turned her kitchen into a lab.
Yes! It was a fun one!
This is one of my favorite books! And the dog! Glad you liked it!
