Seeing Cannibal Corpse in Ace Ventura was my first exposure to the band. It blew me away and my first reaction was along the lines of "whoa what was that!" As a 13 year old kid I was already into thrash metal; mainly the "big 4" as well as Testament, but this kicked way more ass and was heavier. I found out the name of the band: Cannibal Corpse and the name of the song they played in the movie: Hammer Smashed Face. I got a ride to the nearest cd store asap afterwards and bought the Cannibal Corpse cd with Hammer Smashed Face on it, Tomb Of The Mutilated and the rest is history. The mention of Ace Ventura in the interview brought up some memories that I had to ramble about lol.
+SuperStrik9 First time I saw that scene from Ace Ventura, I was about 10 years old when it came out and I wasnt into metal yet, so I thought it was terrible. Then years later I ended up getting into early Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, and just about every thrash band ever. Then I saw the movie again and I loved that scene, so I checked them out at Tower Records, I looked at the Cannibal Corpse albums like Tomb of the Mutilated, and the Bleeding, I read the song titles and I thought they were disgusting. I ended up buying Tomb of the Mutilated, Vile and Butchered and Birth, and I hid them from my mom. Around the same time I watched Beavis and Butt-head when they watched the Morbid Angel video, and I ended up buying their whole catalog. So, Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel were the first two death metal bands I got into, thanks to Ace Ventura and Beavis and Butt-head.
The TV version of the movie has an extended scene towards the end where there getting chased through the club and ACE gets on stage and does death vocals on the mic and ends with doing the worm.
Shitty thing is its no where on the DVD which I bought to relive that scene!

@Afafafakhaapa Interesting. Thanks. I think I know why the video was banned. Though the band's ealier albums are owned by Roadrunner, they have Warner Music Group distribute their releases. It appears that Warner has gone on an ego trip in not allowing stuff not just from their label but from other labels from being posted on RUclips. This has even caused friction with the bands who want to post their stuff here but can't. So that's probably the answer right there.

Hard to believe Cannibal Corpse had a singer after seeing George “Corpse Grinder” Fisher being at the helm for so long you sometimes forget previous singers such as Bon Scott & Brian Johnson or I can’t remember Iron Maiden’s singer’s name just before Bruce Dickinson joined Maiden.
Of course I remember Iron Maiden’s old 🎤 singers name before Bruce Dickinson which was Paul Di’Anno.
They seem so normal..lol just listened to stripped i wish they'd just eat some meat..being vegan has warped them..lol
