Omg thank you I’ve been using the seat belt trick and I was looking for a way to convert it into a push cap but this way is so much easier …..I hate that I over looked it too like this should be basic knowledge
Thanks for the easy fix. I just bought a Lancer, and the day after this damn thing broke...
Glad I could help.
Thanks for this
thx
Nice, simple and Straight forward
Thank you.
Thanks!
Thanks
How do you adjust the whole door?
How did you get it open
Explained in Audio on the video. "Have a someone hold (up) your gas cap release in the car door, open the gas cap". You may need pry it using something plastic and be careful not to scratch the paint. Your ignition physical key will work, which is what I used.
Thank you thank you
Hi. What is the part number for the spring please
Read the description of the video, it's there. And it is physically shown in the video. OPEN your eyes 👀.
@@CARTSpeed22 geez. Sorry for bloody asking
You didn't even try, you should feel sorry for yourself.
The spring itself is fine, what breaks is the poorly designed plastic clip that holds it to the fuel door. If you remove the rest of the broken plastic from the old spring a small bolt/nut can be used to hold it in place through the existing hole. Its an easy fix and will last unlike a new OE part.
That is fantastic, thanks for sharing the cheap way to repair it.
