I like it .loved the mamas and Pappas.. Rest in peace to Cass John and Denny.they may be gone but not forgotten Godbless you all 🕊🕊🕊🦋🦋🦋🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤☮️☯️🐬🙏✌🌞🌟🌈Amen🙏
Here am I one sad and lonely guy A shadow of the woman that was me Now it's past, the love I thought would last You thought I had you chained And bound you're free I know it's wrong but I'm still holding on Still praying you will soon come back to me But you know, you let your feelings show You said I gave you pain, and now I see Baby, as you turn away I will always think of what we had together Maybe this is just your way of breaking my heart And it's easier to say goodbye Making me fall, watching me cry Trying to make you stay As you turn away Now you're gone, this road I walk upon Is just another place for me to hide But, still my man There's proof of who I am Except without your love I'm dead inside Baby, as you turn away I will always think of what we had together Maybe this is just your way of breaking my heart And it's easier to say goodbye Making me crawl, watching me try Trying to make you stay As you turn away Baby, as you turn away I will always think of what we had together Maybe this is just your way of breaking my heart And it's easier to say goodbye Making me crawl, watching me cry Trying to make you stay As you turn away
I really think Michelle and Joni were the two most good looking girls around the 60's. I can only imagine all rock and roll stars back in those days trying to get these girls.
This beautiful version has it's own appeal! BEE GEES original version is from a man's POV. Michelle's lovely version from a woman's. One of the underrated gems of the Gibbs from their vast catalogue. One of the many reasons why their Main Course album is a Milestone.
juie anderson What do drugs have to do with anything. They smoked pot and did acid like everyone did in the sixties. Michelle was didn't have a drug problem and was never an addict by any means. You can do drugs and not become an addict, just like you can drink alcohol and not not become an alcoholic. Michelle had a daughter, singer China, of Wilson Phillips, who has no drug issues. You must be referring to John's daughter, Mackenzie, from his first marriage.
You guys are right, great song. Watch the M&P's induction into the R&R hall of fame in '98, California Dreaming is a DELIGHT! Thanks for this upload. You are GREAT!
Are you kidding? WRONG, nobody harmonizes better than the Bee Gees. There will never be a better singing group than the Bee Gees. Sorry to disagree with you.
Mediocre. She never really was a singer. She looked the part of the groovy flower child and that’s why she was in the Mommas and the Papa’s. Her singing was often buried in the mix.
The Bee Gees version from 1975 is just untouchable and even much better ... i think that it is the epilogue of their "Main Course" lp and probably the best song on the record My fave Michelle Phillips song on this '77 lp is clearly the opening song "Aching Kind" which is in my own "Best Of 1977" playlist
Once I discovered that she did this song, I immediately had to hear it! She sings it ever so wonderfully. ❤
Beautiful song from Bee Gees, sung beautifully by this beautiful lady.😍
She was in a movie dillinger in 1973
I like it .loved the mamas and Pappas.. Rest in peace to Cass John and Denny.they may be gone but not forgotten Godbless you all 🕊🕊🕊🦋🦋🦋🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤☮️☯️🐬🙏✌🌞🌟🌈Amen🙏
Michelle does a great job on this fantastic Bee Gees song. ---But---> The Bee Gees sing this song so much better.
Thank You for posting this.
Back in Her day, Michelle Phillips, was very Beautiful !
She still is.
Top 5 ever.
Miracle song from Bee Gees...Great version...Thanks from Brazil.
Here am I one sad and lonely guy
A shadow of the woman that was me
Now it's past, the love I thought would last
You thought I had you chained
And bound you're free
I know it's wrong but I'm still holding on
Still praying you will soon come back to me
But you know, you let your feelings show
You said I gave you pain, and now I see
Baby, as you turn away
I will always think of what we had together
Maybe this is just your way of breaking my heart
And it's easier to say goodbye
Making me fall, watching me cry
Trying to make you stay
As you turn away
Now you're gone, this road I walk upon
Is just another place for me to hide
But, still my man
There's proof of who I am
Except without your love
I'm dead inside
Baby, as you turn away
I will always think of what we had together
Maybe this is just your way of breaking my heart
And it's easier to say goodbye
Making me crawl, watching me try
Trying to make you stay
As you turn away
Baby, as you turn away
I will always think of what we had together
Maybe this is just your way of breaking my heart
And it's easier to say goodbye
Making me crawl, watching me cry
Trying to make you stay
As you turn away
First hippi chic I ever saw and the best
Beegees forever!
Michelle Phillips es una de las mujeres mas bellas que he visto en toda mi vida... es perfecta!😍💜
this song written by the bee gees is one of the greatest songs i have ever heard.
I agree sir.
Beautiful!
Great version of Michelle. I love her No Love Today song too.
predivno peva mama i papas nezaboravan i danas seslusaju njihove pesme

Awasome song The BEE GEES and Beatifull version all greatest
I really think Michelle and Joni were the two most good looking girls around the 60's. I can only imagine all rock and roll stars back in those days trying to get these girls.
Maravilha. E canta muito. E também .Os dois tem um grande amor. Lindos
Absolutely fab! Great video presentation, for a great Mama Michelle solo song...one she insisted be recorded...!
This beautiful version has it's own appeal!

"One of the underrated gems of the Gibbs from their vast catalogue."
100% correct.

Thanks.
One of my faves from them. ✌️
Such a good voice. From Mamas and the Papas to solo
fabolous version :)
A beautiful Bee Gee's cover.
She was in the Mamas and Papas. So pretty but too many drugs. This is wonderful!
They had a daughter with drug problems I believe, can't remember her name right now but her stories of her childhood. Wow!
Yes - not nice to put it mildly - decrepit in fact. ln complete contrast to their beautiful songs.
You heard about that too then, not just me>?

You are GREAT!
better than the bee gees original.which was a classic. Beautiful video too. Thank you
We all have our own tastes in music. Michelle did a nice job, but the Bee Gees version is my favorite.
Do me a favour!!😏
Are you kidding? WRONG, nobody harmonizes better than the Bee Gees. There will never be a better singing group than the Bee Gees. Sorry to disagree with you.
great stuff,I like the BEE GEES one too
good work!
In one photo she looked lots like Jerry Hall from Batman (1989)
😍
Anybody hear ," peel the avacado, peel the avacaadoo, GUA-CAMOLE GUA-GUA-CAMOLE"??
Voice as thin as tissue paper, just about held together with multitracking.
Not everyone can be a great group singer with a pure, angelic sound...
I love the Bee Gees, but Michelle's version is better. Excellent
Wrong. So, so wrong.
Voice double tracked to bits. No natural resonance.
Mediocre. She never really was a singer. She looked the part of the groovy flower child and that’s why she was in the Mommas and the Papa’s. Her singing was often buried in the mix.
Mediocre is a strong word, she's so much more than you credit her for. Don't know where all this hate is coming from
