I am having the same issue, I can assume for those people who have commented below, and those who will, of still not having resolved the issue despite, 'must be running Android version below 7.1.1'!?
We are unable to install latest version, because we all know, it will result in parsing error, can't even edit via APK Editor, so those mobiles running Android versions below 7.1.1 will just have to pray, somebody finds a workaround for older versions of Android😞🤲
If anybody finds any worthwhile solution, please comment or reply. Thanks.

Solution of this is youtube setting>revanced or revanced extended >miscellaneous or Video >turn off "enable protobuf spoof">restart app

It does not fix the problem of buffering issue. However youtube had detected that revanced was pirate.
You can set to disable spoof player parameters & get seekbar thumbnail with buffering... Or set enable spoof player parameters & get no seekbar thumbnail with no buffering ✅

Vanced setting> video> disable protpbuff. If already disbaled then enable it. Done. Worked for me.
If your using revanved app then goto setting vanced > miscellaneous and enable or disable the protobuff toggle

Go to revanced setting then open miscellaneous option then scroll down and u will find enable proto buff thing enbale it and restart the app and u can also disable it if it's already enabled worked for me.

Anyone still having issues, disregard this video and just delete and redownload both the revanced manager and the revanced app from the site, there seems to have been an update and after doing so i stopped having playback issues. Your welcome
