So funny, I agree. I am learning to sew and one of my friends was making a bag that didn't act right, she just cut away a little of this, adjusted a little of that and to see that was so liberating lol It let me know that mistakes don't have to be permanent, you can make some cool things from the mistakes.
Girl this gave me marge simpson vibes. Remember that episode when she gets that really expensive pink suit and keeps tailoring and altering it to other pieces. Love your creations!!!
This is wonderful! So environmentally sustainable to alter the clothes you already own instead of promoting fast fashion and tossing away clothes you no longer like! Bravo!
Love the transformations; the finished items all look delightful and flattering on you! I must say that those pants - and the way you've styled them with the shirt - I love the most! Talk about both stylish and comfortable...and something my 53-y.o. self could wear. I also just want to thank you for all these videos - since finding your channel, and a couple of others - I've been inspired to do more sewing and specifically, modifying or completely re-purposing both thrift store clothes and those from my own wardrobe. Keep up the great work!
Love all your transformations . The floral fabric used for the last 2 is especially pretty ... Glad you repurposed it for 2 different tops...You are the cutest !! Thanks for all your fabulous ideas !!!
Love it! I keep seeing adds for these wrap dresses that you loop around one shoulder, wrap it around & loop it over the other. I thought, maybe you could make them out of old sheets from the thrift store with funky patterns? If you could make some as a test run, that would be awesome!
I love this channel. While my tailoring skills are minimal, I have successfully altered 4 tees and shirts from the enthusiasm and great instructions on these videos. Thank you!
Wow! The first diy is such a great idea. 😁✨ It’s so simple and easy. I have a dress that has a high neck too and I notice I don’t wear it as much either but it’s too cute to get rid of. Thanks for the video! 💕
What is super impressive is how you managed to still fit into the clothes you had from years ago!! Especially love the floral top transformation and the pic on your Instagram.
Would love to be able to use my old clothes and tons of fabrics I have. This is my number 1 skill to get this year. You make it look soo easy and fabulous
Super fun! I'd love for you to include additional details such as (1) what stitch length and type you used (2) how to decide how much elastic to use and how to sew it where everything lays evenly. The more technical details the better!
Ohmyyyy! You’re close to 2M subscribers April! Time flies so fast, it seemed only yesterday when you celebrated the 1M with that amazing fashion show 😊 You really deserve all that love because your content is worth watching, product of skills and passion 🥰
I love transformation videos. You are so educated, professional, neat and creative. Thank you for taking the time to create and edit these videos for us.
Omg you should do a “failed thrift flips” video! I think it would just be funny to see if you’ve had any disasters throughout thrift flipping so many things
Although I’ve always been one to figure out how to alter clothes to make them fit me better, I’m not as talented as April. She is a professional seamstress, and very creative. Lots of good ideas and tips from watching her! Everyone should rethink articles of clothing before hauling them off to Goodwill who just makes money on the stuff we discard!!
Love your videos! For marking the cloth with soap....What i like to do is wash hands with a bar of soap for a long time, each time palms together to make the soap into a very thin oval with sharp edges(dont know if that made sense) and use that to mark things. Easier than using a huge bar. Ps! Congrats on the engagement!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! It was like you read my mind, I've been searching & searching for current diy transformation videos and you came THROUGH!
I love to sew since I was small like 8yrs old. I made sexy tops for my friends and even dresses for my dolls like matchy matchy😅 until I become a mom I am sewing ootds for my little girl, and take note all are my handmade. No sewing machine 😁 it's a lot of work but I love it. Keep inspiring april❤️
something off about that first refashion. the alignment of the chest/underarm area was wonky but 3 out of 4 ain't bad; especially when the remaining 3 were so amazing!
I had to compliment in your videos, it’s crazy amazing and just made me very relaxed and all believe in creativity and skills. Thank you really needed it. Over all your tutorial video is very therapeutic to me. For someone who wants to make use of free time, your guidance is amazing.❤️🤘🏼
you are amazing for my taste the vlouse is to reviling but I like what you did with all 3. I have few dresses that I need to do some alteration so now you gave me some ideas thank you
I love your channel. I always find myself coming back for an update. It not often that we find channels like that. I don't keep up with many of my subscriptions, I keep up with yours. I like your simplicity and passion. I a nice change from all the razmataz that some other channels are. Thank you for the information and for inspiring me. I hope to one day become a fashion designer too. Your channel makes me want to also try something out, unfortunately, I don't have a sewing machine. Anyways, waiting for the next update, as always. :)
The pants from Thailand look so comfortable!
Randi Johnson they are 😍 I love them!

Im from Thailand. I really dont like them but my husband from the US has bought 3 because the guy likes it so much
Would love to see a video with some of your failed projects, and maybe watch you redo it

ValUsc Right! Same here
You can!
TOWANDA the STYLIST
You can!
🤣🤣Right?!
I can't sew but my seamstress is reasonable
You should make videos of going into other people's closets and transforming clothes they want to get rid of into something fresh.
Paul G Web series idea!!
Like a sewing What Not to Wear 😂
good idea❤❤
I would sign up for that series in a heart beat
Girl this gave me marge simpson vibes. Remember that episode when she gets that really expensive pink suit and keeps tailoring and altering it to other pieces. Love your creations!!!

I do not sew any more, but I love watching your programs. I remember all of the good things I sewed.
SO TALENTED!!! One dress turned into two tops...great idea!!!
Beautiful and Smart you are April 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️🥰🥰😁
loamda27 Yes she is 💗
This is wonderful! So environmentally sustainable to alter the clothes you already own instead of promoting fast fashion and tossing away clothes you no longer like! Bravo!
I am just addicted to watching these, it gives me this sudden creative boost and I love it.
I can’t do anything with that creativity, but it’s there!
I love these types of videos!! It’s good to find ways of renewing old clothes rather than buying new ones!
Just WOW! I love how you look at an item and see what it can be and then make it happen. Love it! Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤
Thank you! :D
Love the floral top 😍 i wish i have a magic hand like yours 😩
Shawmila Army Me to 💗
You can start practicing if you have a barbie doll..
Whats it called?
I Love that you are not a shallow girl and thru your skills you are also saving money 💰.
You are very skilful; I love the way you just pick up the fabric & sew, without pinning or tacking - just the way I do it (except it works for you!)
You are so frugal with your fabric. No waste! Love it!
I really love how you transformed 1 into 2
Thank you for that final unobstructed shot of everything you made!

Buying old sheets from the thrift store is NEVER a good idea unless they're in an unopened package
I love this channel. While my tailoring skills are minimal, I have successfully altered 4 tees and shirts from the enthusiasm and great instructions on these videos. Thank you!
I honestly have never used a sewing machine but I love watching you transform old pieces into new ones
So glad you could make those pants work, you can tell they are gorgeous
I prefer the background music used on this channel more than the goofy ones used on bigger channels tbh.
Wow! The first diy is such a great idea. 😁✨ It’s so simple and easy. I have a dress that has a high neck too and I notice I don’t wear it as much either but it’s too cute to get rid of. Thanks for the video! 💕
Kate I know right! Thanks for watching ❤️❤️☺️
What is super impressive is how you managed to still fit into the clothes you had from years ago!! Especially love the floral top transformation and the pic on your Instagram.
Looks like some up-cycling tips for unwanted clothes, or to modify your existing wardrobe.
I love that you made the dress into a top! Loose and flowy and beautiful! Inspired me to work on a dress that I love and yet is a bit to short!
2 shirts from one garment. A headband from the scraps! 😉👍💖
I wish plus sized creators made videos like yours. Not that your vidoes arent great id just love to see someome revamp plus size clothes like you do.
It would be the same process but maybe focusing more on the support but the cuts would be similar.
Same! Always struggling in finding plus size diy videos!:(
Would love to be able to use my old clothes and tons of fabrics I have. This is my number 1 skill to get this year. You make it look soo easy and fabulous
WOW 2 BLOUSES AND LOVELY COLOR TOO
absolutely love the last top
Sooooo good. And glad you kept the floral fabrick. It is a great design!!
i love this concept! With the garbage that's ending up in our landfills; it's a great idea to give clothes in our own closet a second life.
I love your fashion designs.💕💕
Brown sugar Doll Yes me to 💗
LOVE how you got 2 tops out of one dress! Got some inspiration for re-sizing/re configuring some items now that I am losing some serious weight.
That drapey cami turned out gorgeous! I love chiffon.
The high neckline has a more sophisticated look than the lower one. I liked the higher neckline on you better than the lower one.
You are so inspiring! I used to donate clothes I never wear, but now I’m trying to repurpose them myself. Thanks!
The last one is so pretty
Look at that gorgeous Diamond 💍! So happy for you !!!
OMG THE LOOP TURNER! I didn't know such a tool existed. Stoked!
I love how the tank top turned out! Super cute
That top you made with the extra fabric was so cute and such a good idea!.
Super fun! I'd love for you to include additional details such as (1) what stitch length and type you used (2) how to decide how much elastic to use and how to sew it where everything lays evenly. The more technical details the better!
So many inspiration through this video the only problem is I don’t know how to sew
