This is his poetry.. But it's not any actual one. It's lines from his other poems, they are sequenced together to seem like its one long poem.....you can actually here the person who recorded this from there computer his mouse Clicks after certain words ...Listen just listen...
It's so beautiful and just by listening to his unique voice I feel touched. He was incredibly sensitive, intelligent and intense. It"s a real shame he left us so soon...RIP Jim.
I agree, Gratia. He went throught a lot of torment and abuse in this life by many, many people. He was hurting deeply, that is why his voice is like that. He speaks the truth in his own way.
Jim my hero. My free but grounded writer. Love the Doors and love all Jim’s poetry and movie scripts and things. I have listened to all this for 27 years and I’m 38 and love it feel it more than a song in my head it’s a speech to the heart.
Lips of a god...You can hear every breath and each brief silence ...Even Michelangelo could not have created a sculpture that could ever rival the beauty of Jim...
Jim belongs to the ages now. He will always be there for those who understood him. I believe that this is what he wanted all along. Peace to you my fellow traveller.
i look up to Jim he's my idol everything he ever did was just amazing his poems are beautiful they're so easy to relate to he was so real and open about everything he ever said or did. might sound stupid but i admire everything he did and him doing it pushed me to trying things i never thought id try. but hey i was testing the bounds of reality just like he did and i learned from it. made me realize so many things about this cruel world. Thank You Jim Morrison youre an AMAZING LEGEND x
when you truly listen through your heart to the meaning behind the words, you can realize his brilliance, his angst, his sense of abandonment by a father who didn't even know his son's music and a cacophony of other emotions he is conveying. I admire him greatly, as he lived his life how he wanted, through his poetry, his music and had the courage to disown the man who never loved him the way Jim needed him to - with acceptance and pride. I've made peace with myself and my father, but I have the same situation in my life as military and the arts are opposites...rigidity vs freedom - I chose freedom and choose it every day :)
Franko Sk France try and gain enough intellect to differentiate between a statement and a critique. Just because you are on the Internet doesnt make you some fucking authority. Jim's life is an open book and there is nothing derogatory about what I mentioned earlier. And back home, you guys do all talking from the ass I guess, no wonder you are a smelly sodomistic lot.
***** Jim Morrison cut out on his family when he realised or wanted to realise ties and bonds not for the sake of blood but for humanity. He was extremely charmed by tribal life, where people look out for each other for the sake of it and not for hidden motives or blood relations. It is for the same reason he disowned his family. He had a younger brother too, but at the peak of his career he went on record to say his parents were dead in a car crash. This statement was published by all except Patricia who went on to find out his parents were very much alive. His folks never had any say about him or themeselves. They were not in the spotlight. So stop letting other people live in your basement or they may also refute your ownership going ahead. I have nothing against Jim. I love him but these are facts I have come to know after extensive research about him and his past. Its upto you take it or leave it.
Dude his dad loved his son, he even says that when he went to UCLA, that he was so proud and wanted him to go on to make movies in hollywood. Yes the admiral didnt like the direction that jim took after that by becoming a musician but the man respected the decision jim made.
I love the picture! Its like he's staring into your soul...but it's not a piercing look, it's an understanding look. And his voice combines with the piano too well to be human. It sounds ethereal and just....(no words to describe) I wish this was an hour long or more, I feel like I need to listen to it forever
Great songs from one of all time poet I believe Jim is one of the top 3 poets of all time listen to his words very powerful a huge fan of Jim from NJ...
Only this?! Anything with Jim in it, makes me tear up and cry. I feel his pain, struggles, sufferings just by watching and listening him. I just wish he had someone to genuinely love him and care for him. He had people around him, but he was lonely soul...we all feel that vulnerable side of Jim, and it is like we want to be able to help him somehow by listening to him. I feel like he just did not have anybody to open up to about his deeper issues, and basically was suffering on his own for too long.
Jim's poetry has and will withstand the test of time. His words can be used in so many genres of music, with some time and effort in editing the voice track, it can sound incredible!! CHEERS |TO ALL!!!
No blind eye will see what I have in me. Even tho you aren't here I know you are far, but you are near. and while your gone( they say) your influence on us will forever be timeless and long. Thank you Mr. Morrison for trying to to the right thing, past the music past the fame. You will be in the top of with others who played the game. Life as we know it is not lost. I didn't copy this or quoted anyone. This is me. Oaklander510 aka JV.
Just plain genius-- one of the hands down most brilliant, real, true to himself people ever- a visionary, darkly creative, not pretentious either with his 149 IQ never felt the need to show off or be a know it all... he was known as a true friend who was deeply sensitive and compassionate, listening to him talk for just a brief time feel I learned more than probably my whole six years in college! Damm... wherever he is hope he got to find the peace and genuine life he sought
Está melodía en el piano llevaba años buscándola,y si pertenece el mismo poema de jim!!!no puede haber cosa más perfecta en el mundo...hasta siempre mi hermoso Jim...

I love Jim Morrison. He truly wanted out of the spotlight that his rock career thrust upon him. He always claimed to be a poet, first and foremost. He had a brilliant mind and truly is a legend in his own right.

i love his voice like the sirons love spell. He talks soft and streches out his words. i fell in love for a night in sf and i lost myself over by the golden gate in the park and his light blue eyes were gone after that.i cant really remember his name but i followed him closly staying close to his smooth voice. he charmed me and robbed me good on new years eve. im trying to rember my new years events.2012
He didn't want to to be called "Jim" for his poems but James Douglas, for him poetry was the important... We can see that he is not the exentric and angry Jim from the Doors but he shows is grave and lucid side here... rest in peace...
Jim Morrison, Great poet, amazing musician, but his lifestyle got the best of him. I love Jim Morrison's poetry, his fate was so sad. He could've had a great life, future, and career. I'm inspired by this poem. he inspired me to live the right way. Jim was a good man. I wish he was here so i could meet him. he would be proud of me, and one day i hope to meet him one day. R.I.P. James "Douglas" Jim Morrison, July 3rd, 1971...
I'm Jim and I'm back. Who the fuck are YOU:) And Jim is proud about anybody for what they want to do with their life and for their aspirations especially if they were inspired by any of his words. Jim believes in equality and no person is more special than any other...yes...Jim would be proud of Alec xExitWoundx (good movie bytheway) Prihoda.
I don't think the movie missed the essence of Jim. I love him just as much as you do, but the movie showed me the past of a man that was misunderstood by the society, and so the movie understood him. the glory of Jim will never fade.
This is his poetry.. But it's not any actual one. It's lines from his other poems, they are sequenced together to seem like its one long poem.....you can actually here the person who recorded this from there computer his mouse Clicks after certain words ...Listen just listen...
the clicks sound like a ticking clock to me, i didnt even notice
All true. I'd like to think he would get a kick of how it turned out. I love him still.

Jim abandoned his family, not just his dad, and for no apparent reason. He did not come from a troubled family too.
its so annoying how in internet you just judge him, you dont know a shit about his life , please close your ass

He could have been anything. But the music business is impossible to control however intelligent you are. Beautiful tribute to the man.
Got the same soothing voice as the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Both legends

i must agree that i would love to know the name of the poem, but people don`t forget its`Music! Jim`s poem and Jim´s music...that`s all i need!
It kills me inside to know this man never got to live up to his potential because he died so young.
may God bless Jim Morrison.
Chapeau
and Cheers Mr. Morrison

Que bonito escucharte Morrison eres un encanto, te quiero
subjective words....but all our lives are based in subjectivity ..art in verbal form...he was certainly thoughtful and insightful and tormented.
Yes he was all of those things, nice post! :-)
poetry of an untapped soul
the moons eyes glide upon his words
rippeling across the vision
he creates with his murmours
Far Arden! Beautiful poem!

"He was no Private as he could not be sold....". Amazing! What a voice, just draws you in.
Jim's poetry is seriously underrated. But he was uneven, like a living human being.
wonderful piano and even greater words
