That's me too! I watched my first Jazz video yesterday and almost immediately feel in love with her and her family, so hearing about their deaths broke my heart. I wonder why she was living in a tent and how she accidentally overdosed. I know that because of her father's struggles with addiction, she was anti-drugs big time, so hearing that was a surprise as well. It's crazy how I can feel so sad about someone I never met, but here I am, and my heart breaks over this news.🥺

The posts here made it sound like she had turned to drugs but I do not think that was the case. Bless her sweet little heart. I hope she is happy wherever we go after this life.
What?? I just found this series tonight and was about to watch this episode. I’m so upset to have read the comments first. I cannot imagine what tragedies have occurred that all 3 are gone. I have fallen in love with Jazz and her whole family. They are salt of the earth people and I had so many hopes for Jazz’s Dad to be able to come off the suboxone and be totally clean. I need to pause and come back to this. I was hoping an actual TV series could follow this family. 😢

It’s 3:30 am, but I thought, ‘what the heck😊’ and planned to start watching it, and saw that the title of the episode had ‘The LATE Jazz Burkitt’ in it, and I stopped in shock and started to cry! Jazz was so aptly named- such a little firecracker! A sweetheart with dreams and the ambition to follow them❤. God bless her and her family, their story, and how it touched so many, near and far.🌟🙏😇☀️🌈
She was so mature for her age and a well rounded person. I am sad to know now her life ended and that no one was there to help her with her living situation. Really sad 😢

Having to find a new apartment every year must be a daunting prospect but it seemed perfect that after Jazz moved to college her mom now had her was band t back in her life to help her . I hope he got help with his drug habit and back into the lives ..
3:42am march6/2024 Jazz re: The heroine drama I would like to help you understand,A person using methedone may still crave . The Solution is simple increase the meds . The proper dose will completely stop the cravings. A person won’t feel the heroine once on correct amount. Heroine can block the heroine high effect. I’ve been using methedone for some years now. I weened off for a year and now I’m back on methedone for pain management due to arthritis in my back etc.. Good luck with your dad and your family and bless you all thanks for your story.
Their approach to the dads falling back into drugs is not the best approach. Keeping him away from the graduation is very wrong and egotistical. And Jazz saying he can't be in her life unless, that's the worst.

Jazz died while having only the bipolar meds in her system. Heart attack! I wonder if her meds dosage was too high for her body size? Not from the opioids!

I used to see them both walking around Colwyn Bay when I worked there. It’s so sad that they’ve both gone.
