After nearly 12 years of not speaking to each other, Tarja & Marko rekindled their friendship in December of 2017. I'm looking forward to so much more from them, together.
Tarja was the original singer, a founding member, and the only reason why the band became a Metal group, and incorporated symphonic elements in the first place. It was an acoustic project before she joined, and they changed their sound to adapt to her voice type, and give her a better support. Now, regarding the song, the lyrics are about Marko's wife, they have nothing to do with his time in Nightwish. He said the song was a sort of love letter to his wife, that ended up reuniting him with Tarja, which gave it an added personal meaning for him. It's a great song, the chorus is very powerful, and Marko is performing it with a lot of passion. You can tell it means a lot for him.
The band is Marko's solo band, all great musicians! The guitarist is his right hand man his name is Tuomas Wainola Tarja is guest here but they reversed roles in the latest LATAM tour where they did this and Marko also sang some of Tarja's songs with her. I was lucky enough to be there in one of the gigs 🤘
Tarja and Marko combining their vocals will forever create magic! This song was a love song to his Wife and he asked Tarja to join him as he knew this makes a great duo. Nightwish had nothing to do with this song, but just remember there would not be the NW you know without Tarja.
What I really, really love about this song is Marko showing off his vocal range...and his incredible voice! I am just loving it! Tarja...what else do I need to say...in fact the older she gets, the better her voice sounds! It is richer and more complete! She's just amazing! Now for the song....I am 66 years old, and grew up listening to Led Zeppelin.... and this song has a lot of Led Zeppelin built into the music...which I freaking' love! I am really happy for Marko....he deserves it! And, really, I have lost track of how many times I have watched this video since it dropped! Oh...please...give us listeners just a tad more volume.
Marko needed some time to heal mentally. I am really glad that he is back. When I have watched some performances from his and tarja's tour together, he looks really happy and he has said that it made him really happy. Their voices fit so well together and their chemistry is unbelievable these days! Both seem really happy performing together again. There are good live performances of this song already.
