Big Sur trails in the EarthRoamer for a quick LineX body armor scratch test

- We have been without our EarthRoamer for several months going through various gyrations to get the LineX body armor done in these crazy COVID times. We have been in serious camping withdrawals, so we took the first opportunity we had to do a short weekender to the Big Sur coast and explore some trails in the mountains of the Los Padres NF above it. Our goal with the LineX body armor was to protect the vehicle, so we can enjoy stress free backcountry travel on tighter trails without trimming (except for the big branches) and worrying about body damage. Mission accomplished I think...this XS350 is incredibly tough stuff. I'm not crazy about the abrasive texture of the coating...it's like covering your vehicle in 50 grit sand paper. We raked against plenty of tough Manzanita branches and Ceonothus on the 22 miles of trails and the only marks on the vehicle was the bark we sanded off the brush on the sides of the trails. I'm sure we will get used to the 50 grit and it was sooo great to just enjoy the trail and not trim!
Dude that was way more offroad capable than I thought it would be. Incredible rig!
Yea when yall was pulling that hill i noticed people at side was like must be nice to pull hill with your bed kitchen and bathroom on your back. Loved video
So well done , love to see more adventures in your E.R. Great to see the E R in action .
Thanks...much appreciated!
Thanks for posting, always good to see a Roamer roaming!
I love this!
Make more vlog like adventure, trail, winter and cooking on the earthroamer.
Also make a tour video and the specifications of your earthroamer
I knew I noticed this driveway I used to always deliver to you guys for fedex ground and I would always look at your earthroamer and ask if your dogs bites!!! Lol
Small world!
I live in this area. Every time I pass one of these babies in my Sprinter I wave :) .
I was lucky to live in big Sur in the late '60's, way more crowded now! Hwy. 1 is not a drive for nervous types.
What a great adventure and video! Thank you for sharing!!
Paul Brewer thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video!
@@AnimalOverland Also loved your El Camino Del Diablo video!
Super places
Yes they are
Been up both those ridges in my Sprinter but avoided branches. Once I almost got stuck up there after a little rain came through.
Amazing views from up there and a great place to camp for a spontaneous trip
Alabama Pinstripes!
Wow on that last left turn I didn't even see the road.
crew cab is the selling point on this rig ... anything else is regular :)
Didn't have a walk-around after the test drive, but I assume no damage? That stuff looks great!
Way to show up the other vehicles. That's way you buy a Earth Roamer - for that Million Dollar View!! Hello from New Hampshire... Keep them coming.
Increíble video los felicito
I have jelly on my face, looks awesome.
Kids, the word of the day is BLX, say it with a smile:)
Did you install the frame reinforcement around the rear shock?
Our caravan chums broke their ER frame in Baja.
ER shipped a whole rear frame panel to weld into place over the original frame.
sorry for the late response...I have been mostly on IG these days but starting to post on YT again. I bolted the frame reinforcement kit from Kelderman onto the frame near the rear shocks
hows the linex holding up? Looking at putting this on my truck...
Great…the XS350 material is really tough
How much please???
Ha lol that wasn’t a real Jeep, that was more like a Fiat ;) My wrangler would have had no issues. Love your rig, definite goal for the future.
Thanks...yes that’s not a real Jeep IMO...our JK’s would definitely have no problem with that!
Sweet :)
These rigs are nice but you don't see them often
LMAO the Heep. WHY, dude.

That looks like cougar and feral hog country.
That’s not a Jeep. Only the wrangler is a Jeep
