@@Dalpilarna aww! Thank you so much for your kind comment!. So nice of you. I am looking forward to the next one too. I have been waiting to go to this place. 🫡
Stora Tuna cemetery is where world-renowned opera singer Jussi Björling is buried. He is considered one of the finest tenors that have ever lived. He was born in Borlänge. If you want to hear him sing, there are plenty of RUclips videos of his recordings.
@@AnitaGren awww! That’s a beautiful story. The guy in the video..Peter told me about the history of the church and the one in vasteras. Such a beautiful place. Thank you for watching. ❤️
I do not know this church. But I believe that the stones on the walls would be old grave stones which where originally in the floor but have later been moved to the walls.
My god Garth. I have written to you many times that these things you call altars are not at all altars. They are what we call "predikstol". A place where the priests used to stand during their sermons so that people could hear them. They are not so often used nowasays as we now have sound systems. You asked whatis up in the tower. That would normally be the churche bells. The top structure looks like a wooden construction which is copper plated. That what the normal way to build the top bit of the church towers. It is the same in the Västerås cathedral.
@@andersholmstrom3571 ha! I understand that’s what you guys call them but in the states we call them altars. I don’t live here full time so my memory won’t register that when I make the videos. I will always go back to what I grew up with. Same as you here. Think of me like that little annoying kid that always forgets 😂. You are a Jem Anders..thanks for your support.
@@GarthLovesTRAVEL The real altar you will find at the end of the church. Fartherst away from the entrence. You often film them but you do not recognise them as the altars. If you come to Västerås please give me a shout in advance. I will be happy to show you my self. We can visit the cathedral together so that I caqn show you properly. I am retired so I have time most o the time.
Great video Garth, I'm already looking forward to the next one.

This was "my" church as young and got married there. Many wanted it to become a chathedral since its beauty but never happend.
