The interesting thing for me on this whole issue is that SO many Israel supporters on the right-wing are VERY quick to "play the anti-semitic card." In fact, even Jewish journalists have written that legitimate criticism of Israeli Government policy is NOT antisemitic - Roger Cohen and Tom Friedman. Frankly speaking, to me this "weaponizing the antisemitic word" is the WORST way to insult those Jews that experienced REAL anti-semitism - being murdered by the Nazis. He "called it" by instinct alone, not because that's what the evidence indicated. All reliable polling and election forecasting models suggested Trump had a relatively high probability of losing. Instead of awarding slopping thinking (that happened to be right), you should be more concerned with the actual thought process and reasoning behind an argument. Like a broken clock, people like Moore who think with their emotions and gut will be occasionally right, but more often wrong.

Single issue? The Biden administration said the position of the US and Israel is there will be a 2 state solution. Israel has said there will never be a two state solution. Biden had a phone call with Netanyahu when Israel said that publicly, and said after the phone call Israel still believes in the 2 state solution. Israel held a press conference not long after and said not only will there never be a 2 state solution but sometimes you have to tell your friends no.
Whatever your views on Gaza, no foreign country should be able to humiliate the US like this. I'm not saying Israel has to do everything we say, they are a sovereign country. Note the Biden administration's stance for Ukraine is that there be no attacks inside Russia. From time to time Ukraine has disobeyed the US. They don't claim responsibility for those attacks because they know that would publicly humiliate the US. They respect the US. The land of Mandatory Palestine was agreed to be split between the two peoples: Jews who from then on identified as Israelis, and Arabs who later on identified as Palestinians.

I'm 62. a Baby Boomer and I know what Michael Moore's talking about. This is a lot to absorb and digest for us older folk. We are telling ourselves that what we do and how we do it is solely for others when much of it makes others shoulder the burden of our guilty conscience. Perhaps our parents and ourselves did the best we could in the past, but maybe it's time to reflect on our past decisions and make a course correction. Israeli, Palestinian, American (United Statians), we're all human. Given the power, each of us is capable of great brutality. Even the longest abused, and most oppressed, can become the oppressor. The longer we fail to see that the longer we remain compliant. It's the acts, not the actor.
