As a Costco shareholder and customer, I find it especially rude when people leave perishable items on dry good pallets. If I see a misplaced item, I would return it to its proper location. Otherwise, that product would end up in the garbage bin and eventually cause future price increases.

I have had the same Costco card for 25 years, and no one at the door is noticing that. One cashier noticed at Christmas after she gave me the upgrade sales pitch and then realized I was already executive level. One or 2 friends are you kidding me people here in FLA are bringing 6+ people with 3 carts to chow down on the samples and eat cheap at the food court. Throw away your sample packaging in the trash cans.

Back in 2009 when my family and I went homeless, my mom gave me her Costco card so I could use it to get in and obtain free samples. This was before pictures were printed on Costco cards. Not long after, my mom passed away and I just used her card to make food court purchases and enter to snack on free samples/use the restroom (I don't buy anything in the store with her card as I use the bus to travel so buying in bulk would be a bad idea as I can't lug it around everywhere). I had her card for almost a decade before I eventually lost it and I had to purchase my own membership. I likely won't buy anything at Costco aside from food court purchases as I still ride the bus.

I remember when Costco was called 'Price Club', and you had to own a business to shop there. Ever since they opened it up to the general public it's been a lot less pleasant experience shopping there.... like you said membership is their #1 form of revenue..... guess they needed more members.

Another reason you shouldn't buy large quantities of flour or cornmeal is the fact that there are bug eggs inside the flour and the cornmeal. If kept in warm areas, those bugs known as weevils will hatch out a create a webbing in your flower. Don't ask me how I know LOL

Former coatco employee, a few comments
Yeah they keep track fo returns. In terms of more ludicrous ones, a lady drank a qhole bottle of wine over the cours2 of a night returnwd it next morning cause it made her head hurt. They took it back
On membership cards: the employees arent dumb theyll notice if youre not the one on there its just a question of do they want to be yelled at by the customer cause they asked or the supervisor cause they didnt.
On check in the back, yeah there is no "back" what you see is whats there. But sometimes its moved or somewhere weird and then employees can look that up.
On go backs. It is ALWAYS a good idea to leave it with an employee. They have dedicated areas and employees to deal with that. Through just a month or so i probably found close to $20 worth of items left out spoiled. Worst one was a full rack of ribs (30 something dollars) stuffed under the shirts in clothing

All very good points wrapped up in an entertaining video. One of my major pet peeves at Costco or any grocery store is that people leave food on random shelves, especially something that requires a controlled temperature. That cold food, when discovered, usually has to be thrown out. It's effectively the same as if you stole the item. People complain about high prices, yet customers do things that keep costs and, therefore, prices higher. The hypocrisy is real, people. Stop being so lazy and selfish. 😠💯

They don't check anything on the card.. any Costco Ive ever gone to you just show the card as you're walking in, they don't check... and when you check out, they just scan the bar code and don't check anything else out.. maybe if you're a female with a males card or vice versa, that my do something...

Two minor comments based upon my Costco experiences.
#1 DO NOT have family picnics/reunions around the free samples carts!
#2 I notice that local business's and restaurants are the ones buying bulk foods like flour, spices, condiments, and large canned goods. I've had people freak out when I suggest they try shopping at stores like Costco, they cry "I don't need three gallons of mayonnaise!"😧
