Heather Langenkamp is the ‘dream guest’ for our show - with her lead role in Wes Craven’s A Nightmare On Elm Street and several of its sequels. More recently, Heather was seen in Star Trek Into Darkness, American Horror Story and Mike Flanagan’s The Midnight Club.

Heather Langenkamp has some strong, surprising views on horror films that you won’t want to miss.
Heather reveals a nightmare about Freddy’s tongue, and talks about how sexual content in horror scenes can affect the participants subconsciously. Catherine concurs about hyper sexualised roles and how you don’t realise what you carry with you. Heather finds watching horror movies very hard, and speculates that some taboos in horror films can actually break the bonds that hold society together. She asks how James can process having to watch so many horror films.
We find out why Heather Langenkamp can never take a relaxing bath, and how focusing on small things such as helps her block out the horrors of the real world. And we touch on Heather’s upcoming movies, including Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King adaptation, The Life of Chuck.

I really love what Heather said about rules and norms and how they bind you, but they also protect you, and to constantly transgress them destabilizes us as a society. As I get older, I see the value of boundaries so much more than I used to.

I followed Heather career for decades
Heather comes off as knowing something. And i dont even know what that something is but it’s interesting. There’s like a higher power kinda aura around her. Which is crazy rare in Hollywood. I gotten so used to seeing demon’s and devils that i cant even process how much of an angel she is.

the talk of the "ethics of horror" is weird like, horror has always been seen by mass audiences as unethical and pushing boundaries. if horror isnt pushing the bounds of whats acceptable then that will be the death of the genre.

Love Heather. I still find Nancy Thompson to be underrated despite the movie and Freddy Krueger being so influential.
