Thank u for this video🙏🏻💐I was thinking of making editable digital downloads but I won’t since I already have to pay for Shopify and other subscriptions and will sell my products for fee dollars 😅
I would agree with that-I would say that I found Corjl to be rather limiting when I used it (although the ease of use for the client is definitely a reason that it is so popular).
Thanks for the great video. I keep asking this question and I'm not getting a solid answer from others, but if I do this thru Corjl or Canva, what keeps the customer from doing the same thing and giving it away to their friends? I really want to do digital but it seems like you not only have the Etsy competition but then you'll have your customers as your competition as well and why would they come back to buy more in the future? I wish there was a way where the customer didn't have to sign into an account so they think we did it on our own. I'm not sure if this makes sense.
Yes that is a valid question. Big picture, there is nothing stopping a bad person from buying your digital download and then just selling it themselves. If you are selling on Etsy, when you list your digital design, you are the "copyright" owner of that design. (Assuming that you made it). But there is realistically nothing stopping someone from buying all your designs, and then selling them on ANOTHER platform (like their own website for example). What you hope will happen is that 99% of the people you are selling to are crafters who do not have computer skills and they see your shop & your customer service and buy from you. I personally have not had this experience happen with digital designs but I HAVE had this happen numerous times with t-shirt designs (I create a design, upload it on Redbubble, and then find out a week later someone is selling it on Etsy or Teepublic). It stinks.
Hi there Julie! We do have limitations you can put in place to help protect your designs. We have download limits and expiration dates as well. You can also add a setting so once a customer downloads they cannot log back in to make edits. We also have text control to prevent text-boxes from being deleted and just the designs downloaded!
This is off topic, but I want to make digital bundles to sell on etsy that relate to journals. It is a niche I am interested in, but #1 don't want to have a monthly sub subtracted from my checking account as all of these things add up.
so you saying that Corjl que copy your own ideas we don't have protection in our own design with them ???? ... so just no even take a portion of our money also still our ideas for another seller can just change little bit ... or I misunderstood????
Hello! We at Corjl DO NOT copy or steal designs from Corjl Sellers. We have features in place for you, as the seller and designer, to implement to help prevent customers from stealing designs. We have expiration dates, download limits, watermarks, required text: help.corjl.com/article/124-text-control-options All of these can help you protect your designs. We are here to support YOUR business.
It would be a judgement call, but I personally like selling designs that I personally customize for the client. It's way more work (because there's back and forth between me and the client) - but if you enjoy that sort of work, it can be fun.
This video mentions a lot about selling templates on Etsy, but you can also use Corjl for other websites. You can continue to sell on Etsy by finding your niche that works for you! It will definitely save time editing templates for you customers, BUT if you choose to edit for your customers you can still use Corjl to send orders out! You can login to their orders to make changes, edit for them or help them if needed as well as send manual orders out that you edit yourself.
The cheek of you. Whether you found the video helpful or not, it's a free video and not something you paid for so why do you feel the need to negatively review it? This is not a tutorial so what were you expecting? I searched "what is corjl" and it brought me here and I got the answers I was looking for plus he gave us the pro's and con's in his opinion which is exactly what the title says.
Thank you so much! You saved me a lot of time and research as a new digital Etsy seller. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
This video was so helpful for me! I watched with my kids & we were all like- "his voice is so relaxing!" Thanks for the help!
I appreciate the feedback, thank you and I am glad it was helpful!!
Thanks! I never heard of it but can now check it out. I've been looking into digital graphic sales. I appreciate the pros and cons. Again, thanks!
Super helpful. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Super helpful! Thank you : )
Thanks! ❤
VERY HELPFUL, THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Thanks 👍
So the downsides are both not specific to Corjl but Etsy and the issues you encounter selling digital products in general
I would agree with that-I would say that I found Corjl to be rather limiting when I used it (although the ease of use for the client is definitely a reason that it is so popular).
@@craftystax Limiting, how? I had read it was better than Templett. Can you confirm? Thanks.

@@CORJL Thank you so very much for the reply, this is great information. :)
me too!! I ask answers and never get a response it's so disappointing because I keep thinking he is legit!!!!
@@CORJL This is good to know! I was about to change my mind about using Corjl until I read your post. Thanks so much!

You say corjl isn't worth it. But, what is the alterative?

@@CORJL this is interesting, as i'm sure not everyone is capable and you are asked to help out from time to time.
THE WORST SOFTWARE EVER!!!
Why do you say so?
terrible video --- doesnt talk about corjl much -- rather inherent disadvantages of etsy
Well I certainly appreciate the feedback, I will try to do better!
