- This song was considerably more hip-hoppy in the beginning. But colorpopalways finds a way. It took a lot of work to get it to the point it's at today but I'm really happy with how it turned out !!

That's what I've always thought it was. By the way, have you uncovered the hidden narrative behind the album? I'm curious if I'm the only one, because I'm not really seeing anyone talk about it.
+dNıhıl Is there a hidden narrative? I've had a few inklings about there being one but never really thought about it that hard. As far as the lyrics go, I got mine from Daks' remix of the song. I guess they are more discernible there as opposed to the original? Or maybe Levels told him what they were? Yours work pretty well as well although I feel more inclined to side with the the Daks' ones since they fit a bit more into the phrase breaking the ice. Again though it could go either way. (Maybe this can be cleared up if +All Levels At Once sees this :P)

+TheLoyalBro - Levels just gave a remix pack to all the artists remixing the songs for that album. He's even stated that he'd give stems to anyone who asks for them, though that was three years ago and I don't know if that's still applicable. He probably won't respond to this comment thread. Also, that remix slipped my mind because I don't listen to the remixes album that often, I forgot it included this section. It makes it easier to hear most of it, but it cuts off the first line, which may be why you were having trouble with that.
As far as the content: I see why you're inclined to say that-especially your last line, which I'm referring to-but it seems out of place to me. The song is not just about breaking the ice, for one thing. And that line seems to both not quite fit the lyrics, in my opinion, and also sounds strange to just say out loud as a sentence.
The one I came up with fits how I view the entirety of the album. I see the album as talking about the rise and fall of an abusive relationship (that's the "hidden narrative" I mentioned). This song, Icebreaker, is where he finally gets fully fed up with everything and cuts it off. This section is just a flashback to better times.

Actually I think it's awesome that you are staying away from the "EDM Producer" stereotype. Because music is music, no matter what, and I'd say that someone who makes music should earn the title of "musician" rather than some austere thing like producer.
But yeah, I totally think that you could do an amazing collab. No idea who with though.
I think it'd still be fine to feature somebody on one of your tracks, that's not weird at all. Personally I think you can do whatever you want, but I'd like to point out that many non-EDM musicians feature certain people. And hey, you've had pony vocals on your songs before, it's similar.
Was that render error related to that random inverse flickering I pointed out on the last video? I rather liked it, because in a small way it fit the song. XD If it were more frequent, and lasted a bit longer, it would've been perfect for the video.
I think they mean like duets, collabs are not uncommon for singer songwriters, it helps both artists get some extra exposure and it changes things up a bit for both of them. Its also really good to learn to work closely with others in your projects.
I think what they're saying is that they'd be interested in a collaboration. Owl City teamed up with Carly Jepsen, after all :) . If you prefer to work alone, that's absolutely understandable!

I bought this album for $4 and I feel bad for paying so little since it ended up being really amazing. I thought I'd convince some friends to buy it but it's not really their thing so I might go back and buy it again =S
That's not to say you can't collab with 2 sets of vocals. I always enjoy the new creative avenues in lyrics when you introduce a second singer.
