I hope this leads to more of Colter Wall working with Dead South
Johnny Boy's Bones from Colter's first album featured them as well, great song.
Nate and Colter are good friends
I don't
@@thedrmurchindise then gtfo
@@brandongris154 sure dude.
Colter could sing the phone book and it would have more heart than most music today... same for Dead South! Wow, what a combo!
The dead south will likely be one of my favourite all-time bands throughout the rest of my life.
MrRagedMoose that's the same for me
Absolutely. I saw them when they came to the UK, front row seats. The greatest live show I've ever had the honour of attending. They are returning next year, and I have front row (again) for a show on the south coast on a Wednesday, and same two days later in Central London. You've got to be good to earn that kind of following.
🎼🎵They are the Dead South, they came across the sea.🌊🎶
Nate may remember, two very drunken ladies, dancing in the corner, stealing your whiskey, and falling flat on their arse whilst you were playing the kick drum for "Banjo Odessy". I was on the end of the front row laughing at the fallen woman, you couldn't keep in a little smirk. Arlington Arts, Newbury by the way.
Fuck ya same. They're from the city where I was born and I seen them last week and have been listening to them almost everyday for awhile now lol
yenaled 306: Hells Yeah, "Regina" if I'm not mistaken. You must be very proud of such a fantastic gift to the world of music.
Imperial Meatballs regina is right my man. And yes I seen them perform at ness creek last week and they sound just as good live as they do on their albums.
I have heard sooooo many covers of this song. No one hits it like Roger Miller. No one.
Nick shoulders might..
Two of my favorite artists singing together, what a great morning this has turned out to be.
I don't know how I missed this, but I need more Colter Wall x Dead South collaborations.
Dizzle without an R check out Johnny Boys Bones!
Same
@@corbynziemer9083 i know your not telling me they did a cover
Love it.
Just as a side question, is that the peace bridge to the left (right on the screen) of Colter?
killer snowman nah its an original
My favorite bluegrass artist with my favorite country artist. Love it every time they collaborate. When I discovered their music, it changed my life for the better and picked me up out of a dark place.
Pecos Nick Canadians stick together. Their vocal style and lyrics are so similar
Pecos Nick check out johnny boys bones by colter
Cade Arnason It's one of my favorite songs. Like I said above, these two artists work magic when they collaborate.
Amen, brother
Same, brother, that's the spirit
There used to be a video of the song my uncle used to love me but she died, from the same night this video was made. Same backdrop, same balcony. I can't find it! It was so good, I don't know why they would have taken it down.
Hey I'm looking for this video too. I can't find it and I've been looking for months. I found it once and I couldn't get it again. I think it was at the Calgary Stampede in 2018 and it has all the same people. I have a screenshot of it but I can't find it :(
I want this to go on forever. It feels really relevant to my life right now. But it's way too short. I guess I'll just have to keep replaying
I know how it feels to be alive with no desire to live
I know how it feels to die inside and try hard to forgive
And my way of finding out is 'cause a love just let me down
In a world so full of love, yet not enough to go around
I was once so proud to have her love that I could burst with pride
But that sunshine turned to storm and now that's all I feel inside
It's enough to make me wish that I could hide and not be found
In a world so full of love yet not enough to go around
I could sit for days and wonder and not find the answer still
By the time I die I wonder if by then I even will
I must live to be a hundred if I hope to live it down
In a world so full of love yet not enough to go around
Gut-wrenchingly beautiful. Lol
This is just stunning. Great voices 👍❤️
@@truthfinder2477it pales to Roger's demo!
Now this is music. No autotune. Just great voices and a guitar.
I consider myself a Roger Miller fan. My parents had several of his albums when I was growing up. Unfortunately, I did not know this amazing song until now. Your voices are so wonderful. Thank you for doing this! It is really great!
Oh my god! That was just wonderful, I love Colter and I love you guys and this just melted my heart! ❤❤❤
Love seeing two of my favorite artists together!
i listen to the dead south every day on the way to work, whether it be a full album or just a few songs it always pumps me up for the day. keep the music comin! one of my favorite bands since i first heard "in hell ill be in good company", and when i seen them live last month, they never let me down!
Come to Texas! You'll be in good company! ;-) xoxo
sherriescottrn327 saw them in the woodlands earlier this year and going to see them in Dallas in November
So....Texas is hell(in reference to another song of their's)? lol
Eric Raines oh Wow, I may have to go the 4 hrs to Dallas then! I love the Woodlands, but that's a bit far for a concert LOL
sherriescottrn327 it’s about three hours for us to Dallas but they are definitely worth it!
The Dead South are amazing, but Colter will go down as one of the best singers of the modern era.
Excelent voices! I love this band, Saludos desde Colombia!
Bueno saber que hay más gente en Colombia que los escucha!
Is this really the first time these two have gotten together? There's never been a more fitting duo
Bud colter had them on his first album Imaginary Appalachia on the song Johnny boys bones
Would love to see this on a future album, from either of these guys. They do Roger pretty darn good.
I love what colter wall is doing with folk music plus he's a great writer
Ohhh another Roger Miller song! Great Choice! Nuttin' like swiggin' a couple PBR's, overlookin' the river with good friends and music! Thanks for posting this!
That voice!
The one playing guitar.
Wow 😍
I love it. Love you guys, great to hear a re-do of Roger Miller. Thank you!!
Can't believe I get to see both of these guys in DC in November. Thank you Dead South for tipping me off to Colter Wall, absolutely love his stuff!

Damn is that golden
HIS VOICE ........ wauw
love both these guys. I have been hearing a lot of people cover Roger Miller lately and love him...this tune and "Where have all the average people gone" are my absolute favorites.
We've been waiting on this combo!!! 😍😍😍
God bless both of these men, one's great hat and the other's ridiculously gravely old Appalachian man-like voice.
I can never listen to this less than 10 times in a row! Dang me!
I had to listen again. I just love this.
And again and again and again... so good ugh
Sweet....that was beautiful gentleman!
Looking forward to seeing Colter again here in Stoon.
And hopefully the Dead South again (for the 23rd time)
I did not expect Colter wall to sound like that
Im listening to this on headphones, and I love the wind blowing in the background
LOVE COLTER WALL
Post malone was so handsome back in his red dirt days. Before the face tattoos
I know it's a joke but just don't put that trash with a legend like Colter in the same place 😂
I just saw The Dead South in Nov/2018 great show, I'm waiting to see Coulter but he hasn't played anywhere near me(that I'm aware of and I keep an eye and ear out for that sort of thing)...would absolutely love to see Coulter with Nate(and the rest of The Dead South)together...great upload, thanks
I love you guys, and I absolutely love your voice!
Just wow. ❤️
There's you, singing just as if you came straight out of a movie, then there's me, making birds explode such as Fiona in Shrek 1.
Love your music guys

Great as always
Bravo Y’All ✨🌏✨
Roger Miller’s version is light years better. Plus it has the genius of Buddy Emmons’ steel on the record.
That was awesome. Can't wait to see you guys in Montreal.
Keep up the great work I got goosebumps when hearing this love y'all
G'dammit- had just seen "The Monster" for the first time, and my first two thoughts were (in order of Appearance): "A good movie begins with a good song!" and "The Dead South gotta perform this", trying to imagine the Sound with Cello and Banjo. What coincidences life delivers from time to time ^^!
What do you mean, guys- Cologne, 2020 ^^?
I can't wait to see The Dead South for the third time in Olympia soon!
Legendary
I'll be seeing you guys in Omaha, NE in October!!!! Can't wait to see you again!
You guys are the bomb!
Good cover of a classic song. X

This is awesome guys. Funnily enough watching Colter on YT brought me to you guys through recommended videos. Nice full circle right there.
If I had a singing voice like that I'd feel obligated to be either a radio DJ or country singer, it's so smooth

So good.
When are you coming to Australia!
Title says roger Miller, thumbnail says colter wall, channel says dead south. I'd take any by themselves and certainly all 3!
Guys you have no Idea how much your music means to me. Honestly. You are literally singing my song. And Nate, you look a LOT like me. Especially your profile. Damn, I need a Drink!
Let me pour you a good single Scottish Malt Anthony 😂
what a smile that put on my face...lol. Thank you, very much. Much Love.
Big hugs from Scotland from a fellow dead south fan, I saw them in April in Islington London, met the guys afterwards and got photos of myself and Danny, it was amazing, going to see them again in Feb in my home town of Glasgow Scotland, keep on keeping on Anthony xx
Scotland! THAT is awesome...my Brother (Army) and best friend is oh sooooo Scotish. He loves the Dead South too..You were truly blessed to have met them...I will visit your Land (Brother says he's a Lowlander). Can't wait! I've even planned a vacation there before things changed on my end. But i will, one day! Keeping on! Carry on, as we say lol. It is wonderful to meet you as well, such as it is! God Bless
Anthony Wynn if you ever make it to Scotland look me up , you can stay at my place and I'll show you around my beautiful country, and you can introduce me to your lowlander bro, in the meantime keep up with the dead south, those guys are awesome, p.s where you from Anthony ? X
