Rob Christie is Playing Piano, and he is AJ's A&R person with Republic Records/Universal Music Group. *****
That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.
AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. She states, "I feel incredibly lucky to have been signed by one of the biggest record companies in the world. I have my own studio where I make my own music. As an historical parallel, on a Friday night in 1967, The Beatles released the iconic album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", considered one of the first progressive rock albums. AJ recorded this rendition literally days after Adele released "Easy on Me" -- IMO AJ brings this song an entire new dimension. When she sings about being young, and having to make difficult choices, who better to understand what that means than a young lady who won Norway's Got Talent at age 8? She gives this song an entire new feeling and dimension. AJ had no time to feel the world around her before she was famous, and had to make major life choices before she was even a teenager.

Greetings and Happy New Year! It is said that this song was very personal to Angelina as well as to Adele for different reasons. Adele went through a divorce and the song was written for that purpose. But as Angelina does many times, which enables her to express the emotion of the song, she applies it to her own life. She grew up as a child in this industry and although she loved what she did, there was still pressure as time went on. I think Angelina is saying go easy on me so that she can go at her own pace. When you think of it that way, you get a totally different perspective.
Photo with Mariah Carey was taken in Aspen as Angelina and her family were on a ski vacation coming back from Oslo Nobel Peace Prize. Aspen is a favorite spot for celebrities and they happen to bump in to Mariah Carey.

Hello, Red 😊 Tell me if you're not OK with me calling you that. That was my favorite of your reactions to her so far, without a doubt. And this performance is also one of MY favorites by her. What's even more crazy than what you just heard, is the fact that only 8 hours after Adele's release, I believe it was 4 o'clock in the morning, she dropped a cover of this song on her TikTok. And it sounded ALMOST as good as this one. On her cell phone EARLY in the morning. In that short time she had learned the lyrics and the melody and decided what she wanted to do with it, recorded it and posted it.... She is one incredible young woman for sure. She was 15 and a half years old here. This performance is just ONE of the reasons why I think she is the best female singer in the world. MY opinion. I'm not saying that she is. All art forms are solely subjective. BUT...... You get my drift. I know that I have suggested this one earlier, so maybe it was my suggestion even.

Adele and Elvis may be the two artists that Angelina has covered the most. One of my favorites is her cover of Adele’s A Million years Ago. She was 12 at the time and gave an amazing, emotional performance. Just her voice and Ivan Mendez on guitar.

I love the ability that Angelina had to immerse herself in the soul of the song, with her usual naturalness and I appreciated her unique and fascinating way of giving it to us. As I loved also the way she wanted to reassure us about her grandmother's health, she did it with infinite delicacy and sweetness, their heads side by side almost counterbalancing the detachment that Adele writes about in the song. Her voice is truly enchanting and her ability to vary pitch, power and tempo so smoothly and elegantly during her performance is absolutely unique. She is unique, practically impossible to describe, but wonderful, always. After watching and listening to this cover an impossible number of times, I'm pretty sure that ever since her first listen, Angelina felt something very personal in Adele's song. Both in the her first video on TikTok and in this studio video, her body language, in addition to her vocal interpretations, Angelina manifests an even more heartfelt participation than usual. 💛🧡❤

shows how Angelina's rendition is far more 'warmer' than Adele's. There is
simply no way that a 'Pop' singer like Adele can match the emotion Angelina
brings to heartfelt ballads who is a true 'Jazz' specialist which is a genre that
is more conducive to these types of songs. Andreas also shows how Angelina
actually 'out belts' Adele in the power section of the song and that is amazing
when you realize experts say her lungs won't be fully developed until she reaches
her mid 20's.

She's a story teller. A jazz singer. The emotion of the song flows through her to you... You feel that emotion... That's jazz. When I 1st heard her sing "Gloomy Sunday", back when she was 7, I was so impressed. But, the judges were in tears. Then I listened to Billie Holiday and I was in tears. I hadn't really understood what Angelina had done. That little 7 year old had communicated the feelings of that emtional song. A very adult song. A song of suicide. All the passion of Billie Holiday flowed thru her... Now that she sings Adele it's the same thing. Except she's expressing passion through her music that Adele can't express. To really understand Adele's feelings and emotions you need to listen to Angelina. She understands. And, she can tell you the story. She's a jazz singer... The best in the world.

Both Angelina Jordan and Adele are under the Republic Records / Universal Music umbrella, 12 hours after Adele released "Easy On Me," this video was dropped on the internet by AJ, and Adele has seen it. Adele wrote the song with its producer, Greg Kurstin, and it is about a broken marriage and a mother trying to explain to her son why it is happening. You have to ask yourself how a 15-year-old Angelina Jordan could do this song justice and give it the emotion it deserves? Here again, AJ takes on the impossible and makes it a classic as she always does. As usual, grandma Mery is close, and even appears in this video with AJ. Mery has been a major powerhouse behind AJ, and they would be lost without each other. One genius helping create another. Every time this girl opens her mouth and those ethereal sounds come rolling out, I lose my breath, and the tears appear. I think it's safe to say that most Angelina fans know the feeling of getting chills all over their bodies, and warm feelings throughout. One that never fails for me is the ending of "Someone You Loved" from AGT. There's an altered version where someone put a rehearsal audio over it to clean up the crowd noise, and even though it is good, it doesn't have the emotional impact of the stage performance. The rehearsal audio belongs with the rehearsal video, and it is much better that way. But when she's on stage and the violin solo finishes, her voice goes to a whole other level. She got a standing ovation before the song even ended.

Angelina has loved Adele since before NGT and has covered her many times. One of my favorite covers by AJ is "A Million Years Ago" when she was 12 and reading the lyrics as she sang. It is one of the home videos with Ivan Mendez on guitar, where they would choose a song spontaneously and film the first take.

Angelina Jordan is incredible singer I've been following her since 2014 and I started watching this young lady at the same time is an incredible singer with a very unusual voice she started very young and covers many songs the first Herder and she was at the age of 14 covering Chris Isaacs wicked game and blew me away #Диана #DianaAnkudinova #Wickedgame or at the age of 18 covers Elvis Presley song Diana Ankudinova - Can't help falling in love (give it a go you will not be disappointed)

I certainly agree that this was a wonderful cover. But, I was more moved and impressed by the Nobel Peace Prize performance. Truthfully, I don't rank this cover - and it is a great cover - as my favorite AJ of an Adele song. That award, for me, goes to Angelina's performance of "All I Ask". I would love to see you react to that one!
And after you have rested and recovered, it might be time to react to her cover (either studio or live) of Whitney's "I Have Nothing"!
I agree. I don't love this song even though Angie did a fine job, as she always does. For me, "All I Ask," is even better. And, "A Million Years" is one of my favorites from a younger Angelina (12), and "When We Were Young" is a standout too, particularly in her outdoor 2019 concert.

I prefer this tender, emotional version from Angelina over the studio original version by Adele. However, I saw Adele singing it live on TV & I thought it was much better than her studio version & as good as Angelina's. Apparently Adele, like Angelina, is at her best when singing live.

It's very distinctive, typical from Angelina go deep inside into song writers and get her own version of it, which, amazingly, make us thing its a new song. She did this since Her debut in NGT , where She got into Billy Holiday so deep and amazed everybodies souls mesmerized with her interpretation. I would suggest another amazing version of Adele's " All I Ask". I think this interpretation is brilliant....
