a good way to know if it is a scammer is if the profile highlights the fact that theyre a pro player. most pro steam accounts arent even named after them. like s1mples account being named Akkerman for example. another good way to verify is if they have any tournament awards in their inventory (given that they actually won the tournaments obviously)
This exact scam happened to me in CSGO. They invited me to a faceit match, I joined the IP to the server and instantly got kicked saying I need a anti cheat. I got scammed by the old qr code. Strange it was a direct link form a streamer with 8k viewers.
the reason you can see the skins in the lobby is because its an inventory changer and not a skin skin changer... You cant see them in game tho
I've seen these scammers and wasted their time for months, sent trade offers to anomaly and sparkles asking them to make a video about it. Same people same accounts been at it longer than cs2 has been out. I love fucking with them in discord
you are mvp
its sapphire changer thats how it works and it shows it to other people but in vac and valve games (so it only works in private servers) doesnt work
I just got scammed for my entire inventory, not really sure how but i changed my steam name and it disabled my authenticator (not sure how they got into my account) they traded everything off to 2 bot accounts. 5k worth of skins etc
I am a neighbor of BnTeT, he has never done any transactions or skin trading on Steam, so if you find someone claiming to be him and want to make a transaction, never reply because it is a scammer
HUNTER G2 is trying to scam me now 🤣
never overkill when making sure its safe!! i got scammed 8 years ago while joining a Teamspeak group for a match!
i almost got scammed by this, i stopped playing in 2019 and got back into int in 2023. I got faceit "scammed" tryed to log in into the fake steam login after a day got kicked from a match instantly chainged my password and from steam phone app un anothorized evry log and maneged to save my inventory
i mean, obviously never click links that your steam friends send you. no matter how long they have been your friend or how legit they seem.
"do you want to get scammed for your ak?" what are they gonna scam? 20 cents field tested uncharted with 1 cent stickers on it?
Now i learn that if u private profile i would assumed either u a cheater or just got scammed and doesnt want to get scammed again.
am i the only one who saw that the guy playing had a statrak glock fade
I fell for this, but I was faster than the scammer. I cancelled the trade and reset everything/ revoked any tokens.
I got an invite from my cousin to play some faceit - I never played it before and didn’t know what is real and what isn’t.
Just think about it for a second. Why would a professional cs player want to que with some rando on the internet when most pros play on faceit or with their own team
theres a free skinchanger that displays your skins for everyone in lobby
i actually found a guy in a premier match the other day, he had gloves and expensive knife but when i went to his steam inventory only had a couple sht basic skins, was so confused
thats just new valve update that doesnt show new received items for 10 days
It's not only fake pros who do this, yesterday I got a 4 man that invited me to discord and then proceeded as shown in the video
I've fall into this scam but by fking chance i scanned the QR Code nothing happend and i directy understood it was a scam
My story was a bit different tho, it was a live on youtube from simple (a fake account) but when u look at it u see 20k viewers so u believe its the real simple, the say the live is getting sponsorised by a skin site and that you can redeem a free skin and in order to connect you have to log in steam ...
who skipped the part where he talked about skipping the part?
Someone tried to get me to do this EXACT thing the other day and when it wanted me to sign in/ I had to trade all my items before playing I was out.
You're telling me that Zywoo doesn't wanna play faceit with me ? The strongest Nova on earth ?
As he said, you need half of a brain cell to figure it out, if you don't and still got scammed - how are you still alive
when i was new to csgo, i didn't know shit and got scammed. trust me there would be someone falling for it
people who are new are the one getting scammed, after all being scammed is falling for a trick you didn't know about
no way... that hunter guy wanted to sell me karambit doppler for 500dollars lol
1:38 What is he talking about? It's just inventory skinchanger, lol
Changing things in lobby while other people can see it, it's called lobby changer and it was popular in csgo
@@XdekHckr 99% of skinchangers work just for the user of a cheat/software. big rage cheat provider (which I won't name but is well known) has tried making all [cheat name] users see eachother's skins.
This happened to me just today... i didnt lose anything yet though, i did change my steam password and unauthorized one of the devices that were not mine. I checked my url link and api key. I hope thats enough.
I got scammed exactly like that... My Huntsman-knife gone
Almost fell for this yesterday.... Glad I'm so scammer immune!
Funfact: The Lobby is Client-Sided and you can display weapons you dont own via cheat software
not a backdoor or skins from victims, skin changers show in lobby in cs2
Whats the steam background name? 4:00
the steam support has been cracking down i got hacked and got it back before anything was gone
That about skinchangers is not true. New CS is broken about skins. You can literally have skinchanger, and the players can see your skins even in lobby (but its not working in game). I´ve seen that before. So yeah..
