To put this in perspective- the Eternals are one of the three oldest species introduced in the canon of the MCU- first being the Celestials, second being the Eternals, and third being the Elders- in that order. The Watchers might be older than the Celestials or younger than them, we don’t really have a concrete line on that yet. While they get their minds wiped after every cycle, they seem to keep their skills and some subconscious memory of their past lives that aids them in combat. Thena was said to be the best of the Eternals- the best mix of all others. Her ability to craft weapons like Phastos makes tech, her speed and strength rivaling Ikaris, and her mind being as strong or stronger than Druig’s made her the largest threat on the team, which is why they had to bench her early on. No one is a threat for her- even Ikaris didn’t want that fight, knowing he could match her blow for blow. Black Widow might be able to match her fighting style, but if Thena can withstand Ikaris’ eye beams, she can handle a jolt from Black Widow or a blast from Tony’s suit. Thor would be her biggest issue. Makari is fast, maybe faster than Quicksilver, but she’s quick to make mistakes- as noted when fighting Ikaris. Her best move would be to pick off Hawkeye and Spiderman first, since they run support for the team. Phastos is literally the Stark of the team. He can make tech of higher quality than Tony can, and he has the full awareness of how to do so. His entire purpose was to make tech to further the advancement of mankind. He helped to design the atom bomb, as we see in the movie- his whole reason for going into hiding. He was able to restrain Ikaris similarly to how Tony restrained Hulk, and if he can do that on the fly, imagine what he could do with a few days to prep. Gilgamesh, if he had survived, would have been the most dangerous for the human members of the team. He could have dispatched any of them with ease, though Cap might be out of that category. Hulk and Thor would be his first direct opponents, though he’ll lose to both. Sprite would be the most difficult of the Eternals to handle. Her illusions are more complex and easy for her to handle than any of Loki’s. In his show, it is shown that he can only maintain minor illusions without struggling. Wanda has similar abilities, but hers come from the ability to warp reality, so she’s Sprite’s only real contender. Given how weak Sprite is physically, she’s mostly support until she can get in close to finish the job. Druig, like Sprite, is physically weak but not nearly as vulnerable. He can take a lot of damage, but his role will be to get into everyone’s heads, cast mental illusions and keep them locked down. Since it only seems to work on the weak minded, he will probably shoot for Spiderman, Hawkeye and Widow first. Sersi is going to be tricky. Since she’s now the Prime Eternal for Earth, her power is increased, even without a Celestial Unimind. She casually turned a bus into flowers, trees into water, and water into metal. Granted that she can get within reach of something, she could fully alter its state of matter. Tony’s suits? Gone and made into wood or reconstructed as a metal shell. She’s a walking reality unto her own. Kingo is like Makkari- deadly to the supports. His ability to create miniature missiles made from energy is what’ll put the Avengers on edge. Hawkeye and Vision would be the first to go after him, hoping to draw his fire away from Cap and Tony. That leaves us with Ikaris, the powerhouse. Cap, Tony, Thor and Hulk will be going in for this. Since Ikaris can take a lot of damage and stay close to the sun for prolonged periods of time apparently, Thor is really his only threat. Cap is still human- intense energy beams and weaponry can still harm him, even if he can take brute force damage. Thor can fly with the help of his weapons, so he and Ikaris will be going blow for blow overhead while Hulk tries to reach him. Tony’s suit won’t survive the brunt of the attack, just as it couldn’t against Thanos, but he has the benefit of nanotech Vibranium blades. Since we have no idea what Eternals are made from, aside from “infinite cosmic energy”, there is a chance they’ll take damage from those weapons. Ultimately, the Eternals are the better fighters- they’ve had eons to master the art of warfare and control over their powers, while the Avengers are largely made up of humans and deific figures that struggled against Thanos. We don’t yet know if Titans (Thanos included) are an off-branch of Eternals yet, since they seem to have a lifecycle of birth and death, but there is a fair bet that Thanos is on-par with or above Eternal strength without the Infinity Stones, so think about him in terms of the fighting power that the Eternals hold before and after the Unimind. Also, this would not include any fighters from the Guardians of the Galaxy, Wakanda soldiers, mystics from the Sanctuary, or Captain Marvel herself- since she possesses cosmic energy above that of any individual Eternal.
Makari ran from Rome to rio in 3 seconds. Her speed is over 6 million miles per hour, she obliterates quick silvers speed, she’s quicker than captain marvel easily. She’s op on her own and could pick off so so many avengers in literal mere seconds

Druig says he could mind control all the earth, which would include the avengers themselves. So if his claims are accurate, I doubt a fight would happen. He’ll just make the avengers not fight.

The only people whose injured the eternals if I'm not mistaken where deviance or other eternals. I'm thinking celestrial technology might have the edge here. I stated this so many times before examine the source of their powers.

If anything, the only ones who can really stand against the Eternals are those who are above human level. Namely, Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strange and Thor. The Eternals were designed and created to be far superior than humans, so the weakest of them could be far more stronger than human Avengers.

Half of the Avengers are either normal humans or slightly enhanced humans. All of the Eternals are basically God's. I'm a lifelong Avengers fan but will not deny the strength disparity
ETERNALS ALL DAY!!!! You, like everyone else just underrated the Eternals. Kingo can shoot energy like YU YU HAKUSHO, kamehameha like DRAGON BALL,... But it's not all he can do. I bet no one expected Druig to move and shoot the Deviant like he did, because he mostly mind control. It was hinted many times that the Eternals can do more than the power mostly used. Makari didn't just ran fast and create sonic booms, she can sense the weakest vibrations. Sprite didn't just make illusions, she can become invisible and teleport. Phastos powers wasn't just about or limited to tech, he can create constructs like Green Lantern. He protected his house.
I think the eternals durability needs to be addressed. Druid took a heat vision that basically buried him. He came back with very little damage for what happened to him. He’s not a physical threat. So the physical characters should be higher. It’s hard to scale these characters because they only either go against other eternals, or deviants. We don’t know how deviants scale to other heroes. Spoiler, with the unimind, without the full team, Druid can put a celestial to sleep. Phastos was able to make tech on the spot to hold ikiras for quite a while. Makari with her speed was able to hold her own against ikiras. Even able to hit him in to stone solid stone. I think phastos cancels out any advantage Tony has. He can make anything basically. Ikiras power is hard to gauge. What’s his actual strength level? Is it comparable to Thor and hulks? I would say his power set is equivalent to captain marvels. Which is pretty good. Serci was able to manipulate organic matter. Once without a unimind and able to turn a celestial to stone with the unimind. Spider-Man is a hard counter to sprite. Thor has shown susceptibility to piercing attacks and superior fighters. I think he could lose to a warrior of Thena’s class. The only true problem is Wanda. Will they be able to neutralize her before she’s able to do something crazy? If so, they win
Wanda is routine OVERESTIMATED in my opinion. She is not consistently powerful. There's ALWAYS extenuating circumstances and she's in a manic emotional state

I do not think Thena would be able to do much to Thor. Although he has shown susceptibility to piercing attacks, his durability has increased over time to the point where he has taken the full force of a star. Thor also now has stormbreaker, can control weather and can summon the bifrost. Honestly, he is almost as big of a threat as Wanda at least if it’s infinity war Thor. Thena ain’t beating him.

While watching eternals I realized how weak they are compared to the Avengers. Everyone besides Thena, Gilgamesh, Ikaris, and makkari seemed pretty weak. I mean Druig and ajak even had to use guns. Sprite is a lesser Loki. Phastos is pretty cool I guess. I liked Kingo as a character but he seemed weak as well. Sersi has potential obviously from what she did in the final battle.
They seemed far powerful than any Avenger, Sprite's projections outclass any Loki trick. Druig mind controlled with ease a whole civilization and survived Ikaris laser eyes. Phastos basically created Stark's tech hence he developed mankind.

Movies have desensitized you to how powerful guns ACTUALLY are. And guns would kill 99 percent of avengers, you do realize that right? Even the weakest eternal is more durable and stronger than the mcu super soldiers, being knocked through buildings and thrown several dozen yards without any real issue. They have a more diverse set of powers and skills and any one of them would be a threat to the avengers alone

Sersi can most likely turn the air they all breath into poisonous gas. The ground they stand on into molten lava or an empty space. Probably turn any projectile into something harmless. Oh, and she can turn her teams outfits into vibranium for extra protection. She's dangerous. If Thor tries to hit her with his hammer she can turn Mjollnir into a rubber ducky.

I didn't watched The Eternals, but I heard that Ikaris was killed by the sun, and that he is most powerful Eternal, Thor has survived the force of a star for 30+ seconds, which makes him more powerful Ikaris, basically all Avengers which scales from star level Thor, such as Iron-Man and Hulk could solo the Eternals.

Thor survived the force of a dwarf star that is also dying. Icarus flew straight into the sun, and technically we never saw him die. The Eternals were created to destroy the Deviants, and if you are created by the Celestials to destroy something else created by the Celestials then I'm sure the you can take out the Avengers (maybe Hulk, Thor and Wanda could stand a chance) with ease. We only saw them fight each other and the Deviants in the movie so no one knows how powerful they are against anyone else.

Actually when Wanda had thor mind controlled thor knew he was being warped while in the vision/allusion. So he can kind of resist it. When he gets the Odin force it's a wrap nobody's mind controlling him
First of all, it's not fair to put the Eternals against the entire roster of the Avengers. Hell, that's the entire Marvel universe. Sadly, The Eternals movie didn't flesh out all of their abilities very well. In the comics, the Eternals are like gods, immortal, very durable, and all have superhuman strength. The thing about scarlet witch is that she's a glass cannon, she has the durability of a average human. I think the avengers would win as well because only ikaris, gilgamesh and thena, plus Makari are able to really fight. The other eternal are kindve weak. Wanda counters cersi and druig, plus sprite is pretty useless to be honest. Dr strange is also a hard counter to most of them, Thor or hulk takes care of ikiris. Ikiris hopelessly loses to Thor, Thor tanked a hit from a star for almost a minute where as ikiris that we know of was destroyed by flying into the sun. I know a dwarf isn't as hot as our sun but still.
by your way of thinking doctor strange is also a glass cannon , however you forgot that both wanda and strange havehealing abilities through magic. And both wanda and strange were able to react to very fast attacks , like wanda was able to react to her son and the fake quicksilver , and doctor strange was able to react to thanos power stone blast.
You are massively underestimating Ikaris. Thor would die just as Ikaris did from flying into the sun. His strength is at least comparable to thanos. Considering he is an eternal and matched or even outmatched the strengths of the deviants.

Agreed about Angelina Jolie. They definitely should’ve made her as one of the main characters. Thena, makkari, Druig and Gilgamesh stood out the most for me in the movie. I hope to see more of them in the sequel.

Maybe if it’s him in the beginning of the movie I can definitely see sprite coming up from behind and stabbing him like she did to sersi. Thor and hulk solos. But thena might be able to stand somewhat of a chance since she’s the most skilled fighter and warrior of all of marvel and druig can mind control people but I still think Thor will be able to get to druig before he could even think.
all druig would have to do is look at any of them and it's over. His powers work instantly and we have yet to know the full extent/radius of them. He could easily mind cintrol the humans on the team and force them to fight their comrades; or all of them at once.

Thor in endgame was fat and depressed and not as strong . if you want to compare use his storm breaker form in infinity war. the one that almost killed thanos with 6 stones. only reason thanos didn't die there was because thor kept him alive
To put this in perspective- the Eternals are one of the three oldest species introduced in the canon of the MCU- first being the Celestials, second being the Eternals, and third being the Elders- in that order. The Watchers might be older than the Celestials or younger than them, we don’t really have a concrete line on that yet.
While they get their minds wiped after every cycle, they seem to keep their skills and some subconscious memory of their past lives that aids them in combat. Thena was said to be the best of the Eternals- the best mix of all others. Her ability to craft weapons like Phastos makes tech, her speed and strength rivaling Ikaris, and her mind being as strong or stronger than Druig’s made her the largest threat on the team, which is why they had to bench her early on. No one is a threat for her- even Ikaris didn’t want that fight, knowing he could match her blow for blow. Black Widow might be able to match her fighting style, but if Thena can withstand Ikaris’ eye beams, she can handle a jolt from Black Widow or a blast from Tony’s suit. Thor would be her biggest issue.
Makari is fast, maybe faster than Quicksilver, but she’s quick to make mistakes- as noted when fighting Ikaris. Her best move would be to pick off Hawkeye and Spiderman first, since they run support for the team.
Phastos is literally the Stark of the team. He can make tech of higher quality than Tony can, and he has the full awareness of how to do so. His entire purpose was to make tech to further the advancement of mankind. He helped to design the atom bomb, as we see in the movie- his whole reason for going into hiding. He was able to restrain Ikaris similarly to how Tony restrained Hulk, and if he can do that on the fly, imagine what he could do with a few days to prep.
Gilgamesh, if he had survived, would have been the most dangerous for the human members of the team. He could have dispatched any of them with ease, though Cap might be out of that category. Hulk and Thor would be his first direct opponents, though he’ll lose to both.
Sprite would be the most difficult of the Eternals to handle. Her illusions are more complex and easy for her to handle than any of Loki’s. In his show, it is shown that he can only maintain minor illusions without struggling. Wanda has similar abilities, but hers come from the ability to warp reality, so she’s Sprite’s only real contender. Given how weak Sprite is physically, she’s mostly support until she can get in close to finish the job.
Druig, like Sprite, is physically weak but not nearly as vulnerable. He can take a lot of damage, but his role will be to get into everyone’s heads, cast mental illusions and keep them locked down. Since it only seems to work on the weak minded, he will probably shoot for Spiderman, Hawkeye and Widow first.
Sersi is going to be tricky. Since she’s now the Prime Eternal for Earth, her power is increased, even without a Celestial Unimind. She casually turned a bus into flowers, trees into water, and water into metal. Granted that she can get within reach of something, she could fully alter its state of matter. Tony’s suits? Gone and made into wood or reconstructed as a metal shell. She’s a walking reality unto her own.
Kingo is like Makkari- deadly to the supports. His ability to create miniature missiles made from energy is what’ll put the Avengers on edge. Hawkeye and Vision would be the first to go after him, hoping to draw his fire away from Cap and Tony.
That leaves us with Ikaris, the powerhouse. Cap, Tony, Thor and Hulk will be going in for this. Since Ikaris can take a lot of damage and stay close to the sun for prolonged periods of time apparently, Thor is really his only threat. Cap is still human- intense energy beams and weaponry can still harm him, even if he can take brute force damage.
Thor can fly with the help of his weapons, so he and Ikaris will be going blow for blow overhead while Hulk tries to reach him. Tony’s suit won’t survive the brunt of the attack, just as it couldn’t against Thanos, but he has the benefit of nanotech Vibranium blades. Since we have no idea what Eternals are made from, aside from “infinite cosmic energy”, there is a chance they’ll take damage from those weapons.
Ultimately, the Eternals are the better fighters- they’ve had eons to master the art of warfare and control over their powers, while the Avengers are largely made up of humans and deific figures that struggled against Thanos. We don’t yet know if Titans (Thanos included) are an off-branch of Eternals yet, since they seem to have a lifecycle of birth and death, but there is a fair bet that Thanos is on-par with or above Eternal strength without the Infinity Stones, so think about him in terms of the fighting power that the Eternals hold before and after the Unimind.
Also, this would not include any fighters from the Guardians of the Galaxy, Wakanda soldiers, mystics from the Sanctuary, or Captain Marvel herself- since she possesses cosmic energy above that of any individual Eternal.

You, like everyone else just underrated the Eternals. Kingo can shoot energy like YU YU HAKUSHO, kamehameha like DRAGON BALL,... But it's not all he can do. I bet no one expected Druig to move and shoot the Deviant like he did, because he mostly mind control. It was hinted many times that the Eternals can do more than the power mostly used. Makari didn't just ran fast and create sonic booms, she can sense the weakest vibrations. Sprite didn't just make illusions, she can become invisible and teleport. Phastos powers wasn't just about or limited to tech, he can create constructs like Green Lantern. He protected his house.
No avengers easy work
I think the eternals durability needs to be addressed. Druid took a heat vision that basically buried him. He came back with very little damage for what happened to him. He’s not a physical threat. So the physical characters should be higher. It’s hard to scale these characters because they only either go against other eternals, or deviants. We don’t know how deviants scale to other heroes.
Spoiler, with the unimind, without the full team, Druid can put a celestial to sleep. Phastos was able to make tech on the spot to hold ikiras for quite a while. Makari with her speed was able to hold her own against ikiras. Even able to hit him in to stone solid stone. I think phastos cancels out any advantage Tony has. He can make anything basically. Ikiras power is hard to gauge. What’s his actual strength level? Is it comparable to Thor and hulks? I would say his power set is equivalent to captain marvels. Which is pretty good. Serci was able to manipulate organic matter. Once without a unimind and able to turn a celestial to stone with the unimind. Spider-Man is a hard counter to sprite. Thor has shown susceptibility to piercing attacks and superior fighters. I think he could lose to a warrior of Thena’s class. The only true problem is Wanda. Will they be able to neutralize her before she’s able to do something crazy? If so, they win

I do not think Thena would be able to do much to Thor. While watching eternals I realized how weak they are compared to the Avengers. Everyone besides Thena, Gilgamesh, Ikaris, and makkari seemed pretty weak. I mean Druig and ajak even had to use guns. Sprite is a lesser Loki. Phastos is pretty cool I guess. I liked Kingo as a character but he seemed weak as well. Sersi has potential obviously from what she did in the final battle.
They seemed far powerful than any Avenger, Sprite's projections outclass any Loki trick.

Thor survived the force of a dwarf star that is also dying. Icarus flew straight into the sun, and technically we never saw him die. The Eternals were created to destroy the Deviants, and if you are created by the Celestials to destroy something else created by the Celestials then I'm sure the you can take out the Avengers (maybe Hulk, Thor and Wanda could stand a chance) with ease. We only saw them fight each other and the Deviants in the movie so no one knows how powerful they are against anyone else.

The thing about scarlet witch is that she's a glass cannon, she has the durability of a average human. I think the avengers would win as well because only ikaris, gilgamesh and thena, plus Makari are able to really fight. The other eternal are kindve weak. Wanda counters cersi and druig, plus sprite is pretty useless to be honest. Dr strange is also a hard counter to most of them, Thor or hulk takes care of ikiris. Ikiris hopelessly loses to Thor, Thor tanked a hit from a star for almost a minute where as ikiris that we know of was destroyed by flying into the sun. I know a dwarf isn't as hot as our sun but still.

Agreed about Angelina Jolie. They definitely should’ve made her as one of the main characters. Thena, makkari, Druig and Gilgamesh stood out the most for me in the movie. I hope to see more of them in the sequel.

@@Zoom-jm7yf I don’t think it matters how complex an illusion is to peter after he fought mysterio. Maybe if it’s him in the beginning of the movie I can definitely see sprite coming up from behind and stabbing him like she did to sersi. But after he unlocked/mastered spider-sense, I don’t see it working.

Makkari kills wanda and strange early on with her super speed before they even react. Druig then mind controls captain marvel and thor to fight everyone else. Easy stomp.

Druig you’d have to demonstrate is fast enough to mindhax those characters before getting bodied, also her telepathy is countered by Wandas telepathy, not to mention Wanda outclasses her in raw power.
Also when she attempts the telepathy, vision would just phase through and pull her heart out 👍
That’s not even factoring in Strange, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, etc.

Toney made time machine a few days. It took eternals thousands of years to develop steam engine. That's the level of technological difference between these two groups
Thor and hulk solos. But thena might be able to stand somewhat of a chance since she’s the most skilled fighter and warrior of all of marvel and druig can mind control people but I still think Thor will be able to get to druig before he could even think.
all druig would have to do is look at any of them and it's over. His powers work instantly and we have yet to know the full extent/radius of them. He could easily mind cintrol the humans on the team and force them to fight their comrades; or all of them at once.
