One thing to point out about the "innocent princess" part with Regulus at the end of the video is that, besides not knowing what a virgin is, Emilia seemed a bit out of character by acting so innocent in front of Regulus. I can see how Emilia's level of naivety can be a hit or miss for people. Like kissing makes babies or not knowing what a virgin is. She makes up for it with everything else she does!

I actually haven't yet (I know the gist), but she was frozen for years since she was a young girl and everyone has hated her since so she has no socializing. She only has the doting Puck as a father figure and everyone else treats her like a princess, or scorns her. Even when she was young she was isolated and only interacted with Geuse and Fortuna. Her innocence comes from her *extremely* sheltered life up to this point. She's like Dizzy from Guilty Gear, who, coincidentally also became a queen (like Emilia is trying to do).
I view Emilia the way I view Denji from CSM (I'm a gross outlier tho), this isn't an endearing trait - it's tragic. But she has potential to rise above her archetype and become a fantastic leader, though I'm not holding my breath since Japan has a really poor history in characterising their female characters. You can gender swap her and she still works.
Every time I rewatch rezero my perspective on Emelia changes (amongst a bunch of other characters). Being able to see how each character acts within each timeline makes it so we get a cool perspective and insight into their true thoughts, but beyond that, with Emelia especially, we get so many different layers of her characterization. I wouldn't necessarily say she's an extremely deep character or anything, but there's definitely a lot to her character.
I wouldn't say deepest either otherwise this video could go for an hour. I do feel like she's special. With the amount of years I've been following Re:Zero, I'm still enjoying her character and journey 😌
@@trapking2009 from a standpoint of her intrest, theres a lot to her, her mystery and overall character is definitely one of the more interesting amongst the cast, but from a personality standpoint I think she's pretty clear cut. Which isnt necessarily bad. So I guess what I meant about depth was probably that there arent as many hidden layers to her personality or goals, like with other charecters in the series.

Emilia tho I feel like she wouldn't fit in a shonen anime she is her own type of character. Is there even another character similar to her in anime? So far I haven't seen any character like her in anime can't explain but there is a unique kinda vybe about her among the other characters in most anime I watched.
