I think it's hilarious that Benny is always trying to earnestly explain something and then Josh corrects him. Happens in every interview and makes me smile
Holy shit, that story about the Iranian release of Daddy Longlegs is amazing. It's funny, when I saw that torrent I actually did assume that it was conceptually related to the depiction of childhood trauma and drawing a parallel to war trauma, and I thought that was fucking stupid.
these guys are the future.
We are living in the future.
@@diltonx6066 Yeah tbh there's not really any future beyond the next couple decades or so, so this is pretty much it y'all!
@@jermyhopkisn96543 years later there’s gonna be a future
Definitely some of the best American filmmakers to emerge in the last decade.
so many amazing directors coming out recently cause of a24, sean baker and eggers come to mind, definitely a resurgence coming back to american cinema
Lmao so glad they finally spoke up about the Daddy Longlegs torrent having weird ass audio. I felt like I was going insane.
I like how Ari is like a fan drinking and listening to other genius filmmakers, being himself a discrete genius.
I could listen to the Safdies and Ari Aster talk for hours. Gonna be another golden age of movies coming up, and these guys are gonna play a huge part
I've watched every single interview and video of the safdies on RUclips, then somehow this showed up. These guys are geniuses

it is my dream to work with these humans one day.
Ari Aster always has a drink in his hand.
Thank you for capturing this legendary conversation
How am I just now finding this ? Pure genius on display here
Thank you very much !! Always love to hear Ari
Three great cinephiles! I'd love to see this scenario including Tarantino one day. Chaotic Joyful Beauty.
