Kreator, Anthrax, Testament, Slayer, Annihilator to name just a few. What do these bands have in common? They've all been around since the 80's and are still going strong today. Why? Because they have real talent and loyal fans. Unlike the media manufactured "artists" of today who are "hot" for a few months and then end up spending more time in rehab than they do in the music charts.

i just went to the show in New York City. it was amazing. Belphegor and Epicurean weren't so great. But Kreator, Exodus and Warbringer were amazing. Best thrash metal show ive ever seen.
@Snigglesnock for the most part i agree but you gotta admit that the Tampa, Florida metal scene and San Francisco also produced some classic metal bands.
to the kid that thinks Kreator copied this off Iced Earth: People of the Lie was written even before Iced Earth was formed. Moreover, Kreator has consistently released strong albums from 85 to 89 and 99 till now whereas Iced Earth only has 2 good albums - the first two.
@Xezs the big 4 thrash metal bands are: Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax. 3 of them formed in '81 and Megadeth formed in '83 but Dave Mustaine was in Metallica in '81. Thrash is an American invention.

This band was an mahor influence on me in my teenage years growing up in the late 80's early 90's. Megadeth, Testament, Metallica, Kreator etc.. etc..
This band does not get the respect and credit they deserve. One of the original thrash bands from the eighties and still shredding it up!
