There is now a drain plug. The drain plug and the fill to level plug are the same size. For the chain tension, I just tighten by hand then back it off a bit. Done.

New to Skidoo this year. Glad i found you guys on RUclips!! You have very informative videos. I just bought the 2020 Backcountry Xrs 850 with Shot. I also have the Titan helmet with electric goggles, have you guys ever thought of doing a video on installing the port for the electric goggles? Keep up the great videos!!!

If it were my sled I would have tightened the chain tension a little bit. Otherwise awesome vid!

VelocitySCTR I agree, the chain is loose, plus when tightening the pin is designed to stay in....

You’re actually suppose to leave the cotter pin in when adjusting the chain tension. It purpose it to prevent the tension bolt from backing out .
I just saved you a few minutes of hassle

I was just wondering if you do not remove the pin you cannot tight or loosen the tensioner So how were you getting around that to tighten your tensioner

Some sleds have the pin in the hole through the adjuster (my ‘21 does) which prevents the adjuster bolt from loosening. My wife’s ‘23 has the pin in the recess of the adjuster bolt. That allows adjustment without removing the pin but will not prevent the adjuster from backing out over time. Both 600r engines. Not sure why the discrepancy. I like the pin through the hole like my older sleds were.

Hi, I have a problem on my 2012 600ace skidoo.
There is a loud grinding noise when I put the gear in reverse. When I back up, it slams and disengages with the noise of the pinion rubbing.
Do you have any idea where it could come from?
    Thank you so much 🙏

you should really take a good look at your chain. spin your track and look at all the links. make sure they arent broken. otherwise you are on a ticking timebomb
