Hello to you kg studio I am called jeans not young Ivorian designer (Ivory Coast) I wanted first of all to say thank you for everything because thanks to your videos I managed to master the interface and the interior renderings with vray thank you again and I also come by this time to ask for your kindness so that you can make videos of external renderings with vray 5 because I wait impatiently that God bless you
Thats a question thats quite difficult to answer but in reality no. And not for the fact that some people like to work with physical models but after that. In the way you work, you can for sure have a preference. For first ideas physical models can be a bit easier since you have limitations and wont overthink small things or go into rabbitholes that are easy to fall into with a 3d model. After that though a 3d model might be better. Depending on how you work of course but it can offer more control and more details and you most likely have to do it anyway. Where physical models though seem to be kinda good is when you are pitching out your idea. Photos are good but having something physical in a table will always push a bit more . In the end though, both are tools we use , so even if you favourite one of them ,its not a bad idea to be accustomed to both. Or that's what i think at least lol. But now at least in big professional jobs you probably wont be working with huge pieces of cardboard like in university. 3d printing, laser cutting etc are incredibly helpful and time effective and also produce cleaner and more "professional" if you will, results. So its not that bad i guess
@@wllc_kl_1330 yea i agree, especially in person. I've built models just for that one photo but they are not ones you can hand to someone. I've seen this trend of digital versions rise lately and some of them are so good it's hard to tell. The technology limits we have at home are a good argument for why we would go digital.
It depends on what you're talking about. As a showpiece to entice clients / customers? No, a physical model is better. But as a basis for actually constructing the building? For this, a 3D CAD model is WAY better.
@@brainmind4070 The question is more about authenticity than the format. I'm talking about photos of a real model vs a render of a 3d model made to look like one. It seems a bit disingenuous to try to pass it off as such.
@@virtualcircle285 I get what you're saying. Sorry, I was only half-watching this video. It is a little strange that you would model the scale model, rather than the actual building, given what computers are capable of. I'd imagine you could have quite the interactive experience using VR, even being able to open doors, drawers, turn on faucets, etc... But I think we agree that there is still a place for physical models, even if their role has become somewhat diminished with advancements in computer rendering.

👌😊👍
You should down save your models to version 2020, the last one before enforced subscription as many people are staying on that.
