well I don't think any saints fan really thinks this is a flag year. We are more excited that are young un's look like stars, we have a bright dominant future ahead that's why we are excited.

St Kilda worked hard for their first win over Sydney at the SCG since 2009. The Swans are really struggling at the SCG this year.

Unless it prevents or leads to a goal, a tackle in general play that results in a holding-the-ball decision is pretty boring and hardly deserving of inclusion in a short highlights video. That is all.

@@mehmetburhanakincilar2814, I'm with ya mate. Should've retired at the end of his multi-million dollar contract. That would've been the noble thing to do. What a career to end on, and having miraculously made it to the big show to boot.
He and his wannabe-sports manager's motives seem to be corrupted. I feel like Sydney honoured his request out of respect and time well served. He certainly earned his millions, that's for sure. But he's had a meaningful impact (minus "intent") in maybe a trio of games since. We all saw last year he'd become a liability; a sound investment losing it's cache. The new contract was a poor business investment, one Sydney execs are in denial about.

This was one the most dumbest and soft games I’ve ever witnessed. Afl should be under fire for labelling normal tackles as ‘dangerous’ Dan Butler did nothing wrong!!
Ch 7 commentators talking about it for the duration of the second half. They make penalties into a bigger issue than maybe what they will be.

Too right. And the flaccid 50m/certain-goal penalty against Gulden was utter bs. Genuine transcript:

16:44 - [Owens brushes passed a standing Gulden (Swans) 1m in front of the mark]
16:43 - Umpire: "Stand!"
16:42 - [Rapid double whistle]
16:41 - Umpire: "Erol, mark's back here."
16:40 - [Whistle - clock stops]
... Umpire: "50 metres!"
[Collective "WTF?" exclaimed round the world.]
This is just a snippet of a game Swans ultimately deserved to lose, so although this happened 52:48 swans' way, I doubt it would have impacted the trajectory of the game. HOWEVER, we'll never know, will we? Because this bald f* presumably misspoke and penalised the player for it. He was the one who f*ed up, not Gulden - it takes a spineless little ant-f*er to punish another man for his mistakes.

You do understand that free kick not only gives St Kilda the lead (when they were struggling in the game) but it also sways momentum and confidence. The end result is built off the umpiring error. I’m not saying the swans would’ve won, but what I am saying it that there is a chance they do win if the mistake isn’t made. And tell me honestly, how would you react if it happened to a player on your team. I guarantee you wouldn’t say the same
