    You really have the most useful japan content. This is truly helpful as I'm an android user who's planning a japan trip in the next year.

    The welcome suica vending machine, is it open 24/7?
    We might arrive very late late at night.

    I am shocked that it's cash only... Japan was the last place I would expect that.

    Hi, I'm just wondering how does it work to buy an IC Card for a child? Do they get a different type of card? Thank you =)

    • @PhatLifeProject
      @PhatLifeProject  23 дня назад

      Hi there good question -
      Welcome Suica Child is for children up to 12 years old. To purchase a Welcome Suica (Child) card, you'll need to provide the child's birth date and ID, such as a passport. A family member can also purchase the card for a child at any Ticket counter at any stations
      Or PASMO cards for kids can be purchased at Commuter Pass Issuing Offices - same documentation above required

    How do I get the number of my Pasmo card? I purchased Shinkansen tickets and could only see the last 4 digits of my digital Pasmo so wasn’t able to link it.

    I have a standard Pasmo card from my trip in 2016. Is this still valid, the information online is conflicting :(

      Hi there Kathy, it depends on your itinerary, I would recommend plotting it in the JR PAss calculator - www.jrpass.com/farecalculator and seeing what it recommends
      I've also previously talked about it in detial. here - ruclips.net/video/d9BmvzWyfp0/видео.htmlsi=mBOaNzyy81lkfJUN
      Hope this helps!

    Hello! Can you withdraw from a Apple wallet Sucia card via atm while in Tokyo/Osaka? Is there phone card reader on the ATM similar to the US?

    • @PhatLifeProject
      @PhatLifeProject  3 месяца назад

      Hi, no withdrawals with an apple wallet SUICA or even with the normal SUICA
      If you want withdrawals you'd need to check with your bank or get something like a Revolut card

    How do I add Tokyo 1 - day pass to welcome Suica card if I get it? I have an android phone

    • @PhatLifeProject
      @PhatLifeProject  3 месяца назад

      The 1 day pass and Welcome SUICA are both physical cards so you dont need to use your phone, you will have to purchase them separately

    thank you so much for this super helpful video! Two quick questions: so if I buy suica on my iphone today -- I guess it's good for tourists or whoever can buy on iphone? and how long is it good for? (travel is a few months away). Just wondering if it's got any sort of expiry.
