@@starmanda88 next mission: gotta find a good screenshot of tomer to Photoshop a cigarette into
Richard's biggest mistake is assuming anyone else is going to make the rational play lol.
Not only assuming it but putting all his eggs in another basket as well.. smh
Tomer's decks are always so tuned they can win from any position, and yet every time he acts confused when someone like Crim feels the need to focus him down, even when it feels like he's behind.
Phill laughing when seth said no value piles. Phill knows what he's about.
seth!! you can't keep letting tomer get away with it! threat assessment!!
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" everyone tries to remember Extended but finds out that only Pioneer remains. Will Richard's zombies eat Phil's zombies or will Seth's dinosaur just eat everyone? Tune in to find out!
The magic gods have made their intentions clear. Richard shall ALWAYS have the dowsing dagger
We need the stats for outcomes of the friendship between Seth and Tomer. It feels like every time they ally each other, Tomer ends up winning lol
Love seeing Gishath! Quick note though for anyone wanting to try it - don’t put in the Polyraptor / Marauding Raptor combo. Unless you can disrupt it/trigger a win, it is infinite and the game is a draw. Otherwise, awesome episode as always guys!
The good news is now, the official commander rules have changed so that if you are causing an infinite stack of triggers and cannot resolve them all, instead of the game ending in a draw, instead that player loses the game and the game resumes
@@EZ__Chicken that's actually good to hear. We use to make them lose the game for "slow play" because we had some people who would do it deliberately every game to end it in a draw.
@@EZ__Chicken this is not an official rule, but an understandable house rule to have. IMO, just call it a draw and shuffle up for another game though.
@@alexanderdaemon why? game was over, they got off their "wincon" why not just let them have it and play again?
@@wesleywyndam-pryce5305 we had the rule because if we didn't that's all they would do, and the rest of the play group got tired of it. So instead of just saying "you can't play with us anymore", we said you can play, but causing an unbreakable loop is a game lose, to make them put in a trigger to actually kill us.
As someone with a turtle tribal deck, I loved to see the turn 1 turtle.
poor Phil.. whether he goes off with a simic value pile or actually plays fair magic, the table just seems to have it out for him! at least this time he got eaten by a gigantic dinosaur, in true EDH spirit.
Phil is the new Tomer, which is good for Tomer
To be fair, maybe Phil should stop describing how his deck combo-off at any time with cards X, Y and Z, specially after playing one of those cards and ramping like crazy
Like others mentioned - this is a classic issue in EDH games. The combo/value deck SEEMS like it's doing nothing, and in many ways isn't at any given moment. But is a ticking time bomb. Unchecked it wins. So the only two options are kill it while it's doing nothing, or lose. I've started to come to dislike that play pattern. Not the decks themselves. But the song and dance about "don't kill me" can be really grating and irritating with the wrong play group or attitude.
@@felipeguidolin1055 He's like a pontificating villain, except really nice to people
I have a Gishath deck also and I almost always somehow whiff every time like Seth did at 50:30, its such a feels bad but me and my group can't help but laugh every time!
I instantly thought of Phil when watching the trailer of the new walking with dinosaurs! It's going to be so cool
It looks so amazing! 🤩
Richard said "Cyc-Rift" as shorthand for "Cyclonic Rift" but I heard "Psyche Rift" and that totally sounds like a blue "draw/mill X" spell
How Tomer convinced everyone to beat up on Phil is mind-boggling. He was 100% the threat and gets straight king made anyways.
He’s a skilled bullshit artist for sure lol
@@starmanda88 plus everyone underestimates mono white.
I just realized if you have an equipment with a higher equip cost than its mana cost, Thieving Skydiver lets you attach it for cheaper.
Colossus Hammer go brr.
Since I play on arena I am so jealous seeing all of you draw more than 2 lands in your opening hands
Must be nice
Hype. Geralf seems like a fun commander.
geralf does looks like a wierd build. makes me excited to see it running!!
Extra thiCC butts and the crimson vow zombie that copies creature tokens is pretty cool too in the deck.
Some of the threat assessment that flops due to friendship in these games is crazy
love the dinosss
I love how Richard is telling Tomer to use his removal on Seth's board yet one Counterspell would have saved them. Very curious. Lol
The power of friendship, Tomer, the power of friendship
"I can't believe Tomer won (after I didn't do any combat math and killed Richard even though Tomer was known to have answers)"
EXACTLY
Ya ngl, that was pretty frustrating
Richard also is notorious for always coming out of nowhere with a win. He’s always a threat
adeline in midnight hunt limited was also pretty gnarly
Hope to see some spicy jank : D
I see that guild feud Seth hope you win.
YES! Gishath was one of my first commander decks and it's still one of my favorites! DINOSAURS!
He's my plant tribal commander love that deck so lush ( :
Tomer playing “good in soul sisters” tribal. I like it!
I love when Seth starts going off and the voice comes out, drrrrraw somecards .. gaaaaain somelife.
Only the transform into walkers exile. It’s due to a rules quirk. They need to enter to have loyalty so they exile then re-enter. Otherwise they would transform and instantly die to no loyalty. Anything else just transforms.
Edit also the transform to saga cards (same reason due to entering with lore counters) and Conqueror’s Galleon (due to still being a creature that turn otherwise with suddenly 0 toughness). Thanks Ricardo, ankhi3, and Maltrac. I learned something new and totes forgot the flip sagas from NEO.
There are some that also exile to untap themselves, like that boat that flips into a trading post I think
Had a quick look it's the 6 creatures that flip into planeswalkers, the neon dynasty sagas and Conqueror's galleon that exile upon transforming.
@@ankhi3585 Conqueror's Galleon actually exiles for a similar reason that the planeswalkers do - it'd die otherwise. If it just transformed without exiling itself, it no longer has a power or toughness but the effect that makes it a creature is still active, which makes its toughness 0 by default.
Ah yes “friendship” 😂
Wow Richard is stuck in ghost ville for the wrap up :D
so proud of tomer playing mono white.
Even tho it's heliod he who combos with a ham sandwich.
White now contains the most wraths, most of the enchantment support, a good amount of synergy driven card draw, the most stax effects, and a strong suite of spot removal to boot. Theres a very good case for it being the best colour in a singleton four player format.
Only if your playing white winnie tho most of the cards tomer running does nothing in say mono white angel tribal or anything not token spam/equipment some generic white draw that can be run in any style of white is still needed
my favorite magic card, meatball massacre
the polyraptor combo is actually a forced draw
Season of friendship between the Tomer and Seth. I am curiouse about the stats this season
On this week's episode of Who Wore it Better: mono-white sporting chic card draw, or mono-blue slaying it with mana ramp, or green with the lifegain flair?
That ending was a big surprise. The person who won would have been SO dead if they had been attacked the turn before they won. Like...by a lot.
Clash on!
I feel like you guys should try running winds of abandon. Usually even the 3 color decks at the table are only running like 9 basic lands in the deck, so you could potentially get some blow outs.
Great card but this is pioneer commander.
@@JulianHernandez-tn5gu Ohh right, it wouldn't fit this week at all lol. I more meant for future weeks anyway. I just notice that it would be so good against their deck building styles.
Waiting to see an Engulf the Shore or Cyclone Summoner among all this bounce talk
Clash On!
I'm 1 hour in and I'm buying cards for an Adeline deck. Tomer your a monster
She gets way better with New Capenna cards as well!
@@MTGGoldfishCommander don't say that. I'm ordering those tonight and don't need to spend even more money
Been playing adeline for months now. If you're taking some advices, I highly recommend
A lot of tutors for Skullclamp;
Early creatures with anthem effects printed on them like Signal Pest, Accorder Paladin, and Consul's Leautenant;
And some early creatures that give protection or trade themselves for removal like Mother of Runes or Benevolent Bodyguard.
Adeline falls HARD when she's been removed twice. That's why I'm considering flicker instants that return the creature at the end of turn for protecting her.
@@nCedric1 cheers. Always open to advice
The odds on that wiff... 6%
tomer is pkaying farwell, which nakes him the responsible player
LET'S GOOOO PIONEER!!!!!
No more busted Sol Rings or Mana Crypt or strictly better dual lands. Actually balanced magic for once
Commander clash idea:. Rube Goldberg decks. Has to be complicated as possible win con. Have to assemble the machine and attempt one shots. No chipping away. Wouldn't that be fun?
Sounds sweet but that sounds like a 5+ hour game. Think of our poor editor!
I do love 50+ card combos ( :
So...Kaldra week2?
relatively sure that Polyraptor + Marauding Raptor draws the game, unless you can sacrifice your marauding raptor at instant speed. Glad that didn't happen, but +1 like for Gishath.
Tomer here recreating the standard meta of the past few years with "White deck go brrrrrrr"
What does Gishath prefers over ketchup?
Dino-sauce!
Wizards should errata all Dragon creatures to be the "Dinosaur Bird" creature type instead. More options for dinos!
Maybe we could visit Muruganda already because it has dinosaurs confirmed. Or not make the second dino plane be tricolored in shards that don’t fit the original Naya offering.
Anyone else notice the poor microphone for tomer
It felt like pauper week to me.
Gishath is a fun time, every time
Tomer, if you're playing Book of Exalted Deeds, toss in a Mutavault or Faceless Haven for a soft lock.
@seth Scroll Rack wtf, put those dinos from your hand on top pre-trigger
It's not in Pioneer though :(
The mtg goldfish correcting the misgendering of a dinosaur
Just saying Richard, fade away would have done exactly what you wanted most turns.
Great game though.
Pronounced Cali (like California) tas (like deltas)
Kalitas
I like calling it Post-Modern Commander 😁👍
If I were Tomer and actually put an Aetherflux Reservoir in my deck I might as well double life from Heliod's the ping Seth when he was sub 50.
That's why I don't play AR. It hurts my brain on when to use if not going infinite
soooooooo sad that Seth didnt hit Tomer with AT LEAST Ghalta, I mean c'mon that was a freebie
I kinda wanna make a mono white deck now....
Clash on
Clash off.
Oh Phil. No, not again. xD
Gishath easily one of my favorite commanders, go dinos (the one week where tomer accidentally winning is a let down lol)
Wait! Isn’t Walking Ballista in Pioneer?
Ballista is banned in pioneer
@@poiri Oh ok, thank you
Kinda sad to not see Kaheera as a companion in Gishath. It is an early blocker then late game a lord which I think beats out Otopec Huntmaster and Forerunner of the Empire. The other humans I would not have even considered. I run Kaheera as the companion in my EDH Gishath.
That's so lame that Tomer got to go off with Adeline and then still win.
Mono blue ramp and mono white card draw for the win 🏆
have to disagree with Phil, in an actual enrage deck with a way to protect it with something like darksteel plate trapjaw tyrant is a great mythic. It just only fits into a very specfic deck build
Tomer's mic seems lower quality than usual
sorry, I exported the audio poorly this week. It will be fixed next week.
@@MTGGoldfishCommander all good was still a very enjoyable episode!
I loved the game, but the ending was pretty anticlimactic 😅😅
Once again Seth gets killed by his favourite thing, drawing cards...
No way Tomer would have had the mana otherwise.
I'm so sad, clash on is fading...
I really enjoy the power level for this week! Great theme choice, it makes the decks actually relatable to my group.
With Brawl now thoroughly dead and pioneer finally making its way to Arena, I hope they will consider a EDH mode similar to this. Maybe restrict not by color identity of the commander but rather the cards legal for the deck would be those that saw standard with that commander. That way people can champion every archetype their given commander saw play alongside in standard decks, both forward and backwards in time.
:)
( :
51:15 My Carth, the Lion deck has 25 planeswalker iirc, I played the deck around 5 times so far and have whiffed on Carth's trigger maybe once. I remember I put 25 because I calculated the chance of finding at least one planeswalker with Carth's trigger to be over 85%. If my math was correct back then, Seth you had under 15% chance of whiffing, that was a bit sad to see, sorry :D
Is it just hate Phil out month?
It's a sad day for humanity when you have to put in an editors note for referring to a fictional character as "she"
I have an Adeline 60$ budget deck. Pretty strong, but I never win, since unlike you guys even strangers on cockatrice play removal. Not just my playgroup and friends, but also strangers. You play like 6 interaction cards in a 99 card pool. Play 16 to 25.
it's so rare someone pays for smothering tithe.
me after i just lost a game cause they paid for half of my smothering tithe triggers:
