The first and only guide I've seen that actually worked. Here's me after all this time checking power cfg reports and being suspicious of some malevolent software keeping my pc awake. I honestly never checked the power options on my usb controllers. So simple. Thank you so much for this!
Thank you so much. I have given up hope years ago, because I could not find a tutorial that actually worked. Finally my computer went to sleep. You sir, are a computer life saver.
About time someone found the real problem behind computer wake-up and sleep. Well explained together with excellent dialog, mate! you made my day, Many Thanks
Holy crap, thank you so much. I am running a practically fresh install of Windows 10 and have had stupid sleep and hibernate issues from the start. This is the first guide that actually lead to a solution.
Wow, thanks alot m8. That network really was my issue since i disabled it my computer stays asleep always now. this was bugging me since i built my pc been a few months thanks for the video, Great job!!
MAN! YOU ARE A SLEEP SAVER! ;-) Thank you. USB Keyboard and Mouse inside the Device Manager was the trick! After buying a new USB HUB strangely it woke up 30sec after I pressed the Sleep Button. Now my HP Book sleeps soundly with me.
It worked. Thank GOD. I just built a new PC and thought the problem was hardware related. It was that cheap ass keyboard I skimpted out on. LOL CHEERS!
Nothing worked.... Recently I plaugged a bluetooth usb stick adapter, because my notebook dont have bluetooth. And after that my computer strated waking up right after being put to sleep. I tried going in the bluetooth device setting in power managm and didnt work either. HELP. I may need to restore the whole PC
I cured my problem - when I went into Device Manager, I noticed that the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" had an issue ( yellow alert triangle). I clicked on it and updated the driver. Actually it replaced it with an Intel HD Graphics 4000 and it cured the issue. Now I have the "Sleep" option in my power menu. Some update must've changed the driver - don't know why. Thanks to myself!
2:30 I don't have a Intel(R) 1211 Gigabit Network connection. The only thing I have their with power management is "Realtek PCIe GBE family connector" I'm not sure what that is or if I should disable that's ability to wake the PC.
This is seriously driving me up the wall... I went through all the devices in device-manager, not one is allowed to wake the pc up. powercfg -lastwake ? no source. powercfg -requests ? all overridden by system. powercfg -devicequery wake_armed ? none. powercfg /waketimers ? none. hotel ? trivago. disabled fast startup, because that one Microsoft guy that didn't listen to the problem said so. the script he linked that was guaranteed to put your pc to sleep ? yeah, didn't even try to initiate a shutdown. windows is freshly installed because I only just reset my pc, no way am I going to do that again. Eventually, it will actually hibernate, but for that last week, it's never been first try.
My goodness, this tutorial actually did put my PC to sleep, thanks man!

You are a life saver! For me it was the network adapter device that caused my pc to wake constantly

My laptop is not waking up from sleep after I press power button, what do I do?
The pc that keeps waking up is a remote pc. So I dont think turning off the network card from waking up the pc can be an option for me, can it?
you can say wake only with magic packet, will wake only when it receives such packet.
@@ecologicaltime How do I do that? Magic Packet,is that a small program. How would I send that to the remote pc?
