I'm from Wales and was living in the Philippines at the time and went f******g mental. An absolute masterclass of boxing. Shame David got injuries later in his career as he was talented and had some big balls.
What astonishes me the most in these kinds of fights is the fact that none of these massive, powerful and highly skilful boxers, eg. ; David Haye, Evander Holyfield,... can barely harm a guy like Valuev. Can you imagine having that level of edge on a fist fight? Despite this, the outcome of these great matches are proof that size is not necesarily determinant when it comes to boxing (as long as the skills are there), as guys much smaller than Valuev (in the ring, Holyfield and Haye look like children in comparison with Valuev) have defeated him, thanks to their higher level skills.
