Non addressable (conventional) detector base diode wiring correction

  • Diode bases are fitted to non addressable (AKA conventional ) fire alarm systems to allow for the head (smoke detector) removal to allow the rest of the system to function correctly. If this wiring is incorrect and the head is removed, then all of the devices after this point will not operate. Therefore this is a serious issue.
