Sadly Killed in Combat by fratricide. Friendly Fire. Sad sad story. Was a true hero and a great player. The government tried to cover up his death in order to pump up recruitment at the time. It took the Pentagon a minute before they even let the Tillman Family know the true cause of his death in Afghanistan. RIP
Pat Tillman man be the greatest man to ever play the game. Not greatest player, but as a person, what it means to be a man. Pat Tillman encompassed that to the core. R.I.P Pat Tillman.
Pat Tillman is the epitome of the American Hero.. could've stayed home to make millions but chose to sacrifice for his fellow man! HOOAH Sgt Tillman! .... Play TAPS now for my Brother Soldier!
I don't live too far from Phoenix .. I remember watching tillman when he played for asu in collage .. I followed his career thought the pros, he was my favorite player.. I joined the military right before he did .. I still remember lay on the couch when the tv came on and said he died. At first I was in shock.. then cried a little . . I was station in Delaware at the time, it's the base where they bring back dead soldiers . .. When they brought his body back I saw his casket .. and his brother ..and it was sad..
A true legend and hero. Too retire from football at his prime to join the service after 9/11 was completely unexpected but totally understood. Too be killed by friendly fire while serving is just a damn shame. RIP
Pat is a American hero who gave his life to protect his country when he did not need to. Leaving the NFL in his prime to enlist into the Military and tragically killed by friendly fire.
I'm Arizona born and raised (30). Tilman was amazing. We loved him here. Such a tragedy. Look it up and react to the full story. Just found your channel and love it! So cool seeing players I grew up watching being viewed as legends.
As nearly everyone else said, what you watched doesn't really even begin to tell the tale of Pat Tillman. A true hero, and a sad story that reads like a Greek tragedy. R.I.P. Pat. My question is, have you since watched "a football life"?
Isaac Schreiber thanks Isaac. Ive got it on my list. Just had to give some time back to my kids lately after giving my all to my channel the last month.
Regardless of the ending..He was going hard and he gave up millions to serve..
R.I.P. Pat Tillman.
Watch the Pat Tillman ''Football Life'' episode...
The GOAT. Rest In Heaven Pat Tillman 💯🙏🏾
Late seventh round pick.
To NFL Pro Bowler.
US Army Ranger.
Hero to us all.
It's no wonder his statue is cast in bronze outside the Arizona stadium.
Didn't expect the video to stop there. After 9/11 he quit football, joined the military, and was killed in combat.

rest in peace
I would have followed Tillman into battle in a heartbeat.
Rest in Paradise, Tillman.
Just remember this was not about the NFL, it was about walking away to serve your country, after 9/11.
Must redo Tillman there is so much more
You didn't see the part about how he gave up a huge contact to join the US Army after 9/11... then in 2004 he was killed by friendly fire.
R.I.P. Pat, we miss you.
RIP Mr Tillman
This doesn’t tell close to the whole story.

Great video as always. I really think you should react to the 2014 Ohio state football season if you get the time.
Isaac Schreiber thanks Isaac. Ive got it on my list. Just had to give some time back to my kids lately after giving my all to my channel the last month.
Understand completely my man, family def has to come first.
He quit football in his prime to fight and died . Rip sir
Really sucks what happened to that guy....
Daddy SmokesYams no idea what happened to him. I will check out a longer video.
The Kiwi Has Landed I won't be the one to spoil it but I'm sure someone in the comments will tell the whole story lol
Too bad you didn’t see his whole story
Those were the days when the Cardinals played at an open air stadium in the brutal Arizona heat - not fun.
@1:13 you asked what school did Pat Tillman attend. He was an Arizona Sun Devil.
