Brand new! Modernised older generic? Traction lift At Premier Inn Hotel Dover

Here is what I believe is an old generic lift which has now been modernised very recently this year by Titan Elevators. You can tell it is brand new by not only the date but how shiny and new everything looks. I believe this lift is a bottom drive traction lift. I’m not too sure whether this lift used to be hydraulic or if it was always traction. Annoyingly I can’t really tell what brand this lift was as it has been very heavily modernised and there isn’t any trace of the old lift anymore.
The new lift does run pretty well to be fair and is quite quick and modern. I quite like it. Stainless steel interior does look a little boring but that’s the only problem.
One thing I forgot to mention is that this lift has a power saving feature where the lights and fan in the car will go off as well as the indicators will dim. I noticed this earlier and the display was dark and when I pressed the call button it returned to full brightness. Quite interesting.
Controller - now replaced with Lester Controls Almega 2
Selector - now replaced with Lester barcode tape strip
Doors - replaced with Selcom 2 speed doors
Fixtures - replaced with Schaefer with Lester Controls TFT indicators
Speed - 1m/s
Motor - now replaced with a newer gearless? AC VVVF Motor
Floors - 4(0, 1, 2, 3)
Capacity - 8 persons 630KG
Mechanism - bottom drive side traction (possibly originally hydraulic?)

I like the Schaefer fixtures I have the same buttons in my lift collection I think they have done a good job on the mod

Yeah I’d say this mod is quite decent. It runs quite well and it is quite shiny and new feeling. The only slight issue with the lift is that it kinda sounds like the cables run against each other a bit when moving but hey! That is character! And I love lifts with character

I think these were Otis lifts original I went here a few months ago and I was told by the staff it was Otis but not sure

I was hoping for an Orona or an Ecodisc but at least it was a lift that is quite interesting compared to something like a boring little generic hydraulic lift

I’d say this lift in particular runs pretty decently. It isn’t as good as Schindler or Kone but it is pretty good for 4 floors. Titan Lifts usually allocate their lifts to level quite well most of the time.
