At the local big chain store there are always grackles in the lot scavenging for food. I was loading the truck and a few feet away from one of them. A hawk comes out of nowhere and pins the grackle to the ground. Sat there for a minute or so and flew away with its prey. I took some great pictures with my phone.

I like raptors 🦅
Kestrels are my favorite. I see them all over Utah regularly year round
