I'm from Indonesia and tbh, squier is considered as one of the most underrated brands here; sadly. I own a squier tell, my brother owns a squier strat and we're happy. Regardless what our friends think and say about this brand. Thanks fo making this video.
Hello and thank you for the post. I love my Indonesia made Squiers. I agree they are great guitars and play very well. I do not care either what others say about the guitars. I love them! Thanks for the post. Be well and rock on!!!!
Good review. I bought the red sparkle bullet Tele on July 4, it is a great guitar. There were a couple of nuts but not deal breakers, there was a minor imperfection in the wood on the back of the neck, I lightly sanded it out and it’s fine. The tuners could probably se upgrading but it holds tube pretty well. Those are the cons. Everything else is fantastic. Pickups sound great, no finish flaws on the body, neck is fast and action great. Super resonant when played acoustically too. I got a good one it looks like.
Good review. I bought one from the same site today. $119 ! You can always mod it up with parts from GFS. Killer deal. The Affinity is almost twice the price. If it sucks, I'll sell it for $100 and had some fun.
Jamie Casello Thanks Jamie. I wish I got a better one from the lot. Maybe I’ll try again in the future. I agree on the modding. They are fun to mod. I winded up grabbing a Monoprice Indio Telecaster in Blue for $100 and actually love it. I am working on a review and hope to post it soon. Thanks again and enjoy your new Tele!!!
It's probably a bit late but the grinding knob thing is normally because the knob's been pushed down too far at the factory. You can fix it by just pulling it off the body slightly. Mine did that when I got it.
I bought the red sparkle bullet telecaster, I just had to do a simple setup very small truss rod adjustment, bring the saddle height down a bit lower and condition the fretboard with some lemon oil, and let that sit overnight. Wiped the excess oil of next day plays awesome. Pickups are fine also. One tip, the only thing that I needed to do with the "volume pot" on mine, is to pull gently up a bit, that fixed the scraping sound you were talking about. I'm using the telecaster for both an album that I am working on to be released next year, and also for commercially licensed music that I write and record. Have a great weekend.
Thanks for sharing that great information. Indeed it is a very good guitar and a great value. Good luck with your album! Keep us posted. Be well and rock on!
Mickey Vidakovich Hello. Thank you for the post. It was just sharing what I found. Fussy? Yes, I agree. But it still comes down to quality control. If Fender is going to put their name on it, they should have better quality control. It is not a deal breaker for some. There are much more expensive guitars which have the same issues. For that, there is no excuse. Be well and rock on!
I bought mine a year ago. You need to lift up the knob and take. The the plastic off from under the. Knob. I set mine up finished all the feats off. Nd it. Plays like butter. I always find myself picking it up and playing. Yes I a PRS. But I still love playing this Tele
I have not seen or read one poor report on this. I have Bullet Strats which I love but I'm looking at this tele. I'm thinking it's not rosewood but pau ferro, but I could be wrong. Affinity has a narrower nut, which is why I prefer the Bullets
Brian Schwartz Hi Brian. Overall this is a great guitar and a great value. I own many of them. Sometimes it is luck of the draw. Mostly I have gotten good ones. Once in a while one slips through. Enjoy and rock on! Be well.
I bought one the other day and it hasn't came yet. Do you know if some of the lake placid blue are coming with mint green pick guards? I really hope mine comes the way yours looks
Hello. I do not know. But I would imagine it will come exactly as pictured on their website. Good news is that Monoprice always stands behind their products! I hope you enjoy your new Tele! Keep us posted!
@@LUKESTRONG4LIFE hello mate just polished the frets still a bit rough so i will do it again also noticed the head stock is smaller than my Chinese affinity 2014, but also have an Indonesian affinity and its a string through, its a 2012 and just noticed it has the smaller head stock ?...
@@leeholzmann1023 Hi Lee, Interesting on the head stock. With the guitar being made in different plants, I guess it is possible. I am sure they are trying to cut costs anyway they can. There are many inexpensive guitars on the market today and I am sure Fender/Squier is trying to keep up. I am not sure what you are using, but I use a kit I got from Amazon to smooth frets and it was worked well. I will leave the link below. Hope you can get your smoothed out. I was in a guitar shop a few weeks back and I was surprised to see the fret work on even very expensive guitars. Many were rough and not cut well, even on guitars costing over $1000 and more. Companies need to spend more time on craftmanship and make sure quality control is up to par. How can you tell people to go for the affinity tele without even playing it. I got the bullet for £94 new from music room and it plays great and sounds great and feels better than the affinity. Trust me the affinity is more expensive but not really better. Look at the comparison videos on here and judge for yourself.
MrMike. Hi MrMike. Thank you for the post. I agree with you on many fronts. So much of it is quality control. I recently played a MIM Fender and it had many quality control issues. I think some of the Bullets are great. I have played both lines and there are good and bad about both. The Bullets are indeed a great value. One thing I love about most Bullets is that they have a wider nut width than the Affinity line. I am glad you enjoy yours. Keep rocking and be well.

Way too fussy on the "finish flaws" for a $179 guitar.

Well pull the knobs off of the plate.
These were very difficult to lift up. I eventually was able to, but there was still friction in the knob. It’s all good. Be well. Rock on!
You should rerelease the video of MR Clancy singing you really got me

Well stop twisting the knob before you scratch the plate ya dummy. Take it off and adjust the height of the piece and then put it back on. God
