This was one the original trailers for Smallville issued by the WB to advertise for Smallville's SERIES PREMIERE on Tuesday, October 16th, 2001.
I'm posting it in honor of Smallville's SERIES FINALE Tonight.

I love how they left it ambiguous that this is the origin of Superman. With the sublties on flying and destiny it makes a great trailer.

The scene at the end when "Tom Welling" is announced that shows Clark speed into a field close up is one of my favorite scenes they ever filmed.
Sadly it got left on the cutting room floor and was removed from the Pilot. There is also no deleted scene either. It can only be seen in this promo. **They did use an alternate take at the end of the S1 credits though.

its kind of interesting that they didnt really mention anything about Superman in this. Most trailers would do that and say "Witness the beginnning of a legend" or something like this, but this trler lets you figure it out for yourself.

WB Smallville was good, CW Smallville was way less good but I did enjoy the Wonder Twins. I'm a HUUUGE Smallville fan, Although I'm not sure if I've ever seen THIS particular video before. Jan 2020
