Not just his music and the meticulous, methodical way he works, but this video and his love of utilitarian objects made me take an interest in them as well. An absolutely fascinating extract on this programme, about Alan’s collection of these objects. You are lucky, Al. I like your medicine cabinet with the instruments in it, I wish I could get something like that, very interesting!! (Couldn’t even get a rusty old heap, me!!). His music inspired me, Recoil, especially Unsound Methods, and I love the album cover. That’s when I started noticing these objects as something more than just an object. Fascinating art. 🛠️

I did not realise it was the same programme - originally I thought this was the original Antiques Roadshow, and then I thought The Antiques Show was something different, or is it different to the original programme? This feature about Alan Wilder is fascinating. Many thanks, Steph.
