Hi, Nikki. Enjoying your videos. I just watched the video about your craft room organization. I try to have "only one place" for things, but do have trouble figuring out where to put things. I am wondering why you have printer cartridges over in your craft room, instead of with the computer desk -- and then have those big metal labels for boxes and containers taking up so much space in your computer desk drawer which is such prime real estate, instead of with the labeling and crafting area, where you'd have a lot more room for them and most likely be using them for labeling? I know different things work for each of us. But can you explain your choice of what you put in the left desk drawer, please? (Looks lovely, of course.)
Nikki you gave a tip may videos ago regarding using a bathroom towel holder for the kitchen towels, I have lloke at Marshall's, Ross, Burlingtons, etc but finally found one at Bed Bath & Beyond. I don't have a lot of time and decorating is not my talent but just the one addition with some new dish cloths made a bright spot on my counter. Sometimes when I have had a busy, stressful day at work, I'll just watch one or two of your videos at the end of the evening to relax.

I had a great glass top desk that I foolishly gave away when I moved into my home, since the home office already had built-in shelving. It’s beautiful, but to sit at my computer, I must be tucked into one corner of this huge home office! I need to get another free-standing desk to put under the window. I wish I had a handy husband like Nikki’s to help me do a makeover!

Dear Nikki, I have a small area at home that I need it work out as a dining room and a home office at the same time , I don’t know if that is possible putting books next to plates and using the dining table as a desk would love some tips! thank you
For once in my life I did everything right! Haha.... : - D I've got the perfect desk, had it elongated at the back by the utility guy who comes for reparations AND a shelf attached on top of it (all the way across in front of me), so the screen is more lifted, at eye level, but I have 'hand space' right in front of me. This way I can push the keyboard under the shelf (or pull it out) and put any extra things under there. On the right hand-side, it is extended upwards... with 4 narrow shelves and 4 narrow (undeep) boxes - KASSETT from IKEA, A4 size - pushed in between to put away the letters right away and a big green plant on top of it all. Below it, I have a place for my diary, home planner, calendar, commercial folders to go through, so (again) the space in front of me stays empty. I used a little wooden IKEA letter holder for that, - FÖRHÖJA - which fitted perfectly there and added another 2 layers (shelf-like, letter holder). Very very practical. I recommend it to everyone. My main goal was to keep the surface clear at all times, which is what we are all aiming for but never seem to reach. This is the best system I've worked with so far, I wish I could attach a photo since can't really explain it well. Nothing slingers on my desk and it has been 9 years. It works like magic. LOVE IT. I, too, have a nice & puffy chair, cream-coloured, comfi to sit in and a marvelous lamp on the left (that turns 180!). It was my best buy ever. Also from IKEA. All and all, a terrific little working place, soon I'll be needing a new desk but shall never change the 'shelf system' above it. It'll be attached to my next desk as well... x
