OMG…I couldn’t stop laughing! The calves are little kids. I loved the one hopping like a rabbit after Marissa shooed it off the flower bed. Then, the “transportation supervisor” standing on the trailer…too funny. I hope you’re going to fence everything in. Happy Fathers Day Dusty and good luck to Marissa!

Great technique using the torch to cut out the holes for the plants although with 4 rows I'm sure it was still backbreaking work! I'm routing for you!!! I love flowers and I think it'll really be beautiful driving down the road and to come across such a stretch of color! Along with the bison, the Ponderosa will really make a big impact! And, Dusty, have a great Father's Day! Take care, stay well! 👍🦬🌻

You're going to get tons of advice.🙂 As a backyard gardener, I'm
going to enjoy watching you and your garden!! I notice Marissa was planting Johnny's Selected Seeds. There is no better source of seeds. And the Johnny's annual catalog tells you exactly how, where and when to grow each variety of plant they sell. For that reason alone, the catalog is a treasured resource among gardeners. Upon reading the entry for any seeds you're considering, you'll know if this plant is right for your climate zone, the amount of sunlight or shade available, how far apart the plants should be planted, water or drought tolerance, and any special requirements. I haven't had my own garden for several years, but I still get Johnny's catalog just to read and learn from. How are you going to water your plants? Most flowers and vegetables require watering to get established and to thrive. Good luck! Your ZInnias are gorgeous!👍👍👍

What a great idea, I was fascinated with using the torch to burn openings in the rolled garden cloth. What a slick way to cut down on weeds and keep moisture in the soil. Learn something new everyday. The bison are a hoot, bouncing all over and climbing on everything, like big goats, lol.

Your about the fourth American family of RUclipsrs to start a cut flower garden this year and there must be many more of them as well so it’s all good to see it happening and showing others how easy it is to start up the only difference I have seen is all the others are using Hoss seeds with a far better germination rate and some were starting their seeds off in a greenhouse then they transplanted the seedling s to their prepared ground ,they had same result just they are in a different growing zone so require that extra small amount of work for them. But it certainly is nice to see new business start up and doing it with very little expense showing anyone can do it. A couple of them are friendly with garden centres and are selling their flowers there so it saves them people coming to their garden. Good luck to you Marissa I hope and wish you every success you deserve it.

Well Marrissa you are doing better than me! At least you are getting the seeds in the rows you want them to be. As a teenager my parents sent me out to plant carrots. A veg they had never been able to grow before because they are hard to grow. Well, we had carrots growing that year all over the acre. There were carrots in the front yard, side yard, by the pig pen, the chicken pen had them all around it. Don't send a teenager to plant carrots on a windy day! I didn't care if the seeds were getting in the trench, I was just dropping them. Your seeds were actually getting in the right place, so you are doing a great job!

Could bagging/marketing the organic matter be another source of revenue or does it have to be treated for weed seeds?

New business - Bison Blossoms? Beauty for the place, something for the bison to be curious about, family time and maybe a business. Be sure to include photos of those beautiful blooms in future videos!

When will you have bison manure for sale on the CTB website?
I’ve never met two folks who work harder than you two?
The flowers are beautiful, Marissa. I hope those bison stay out of the garden patch. Perhaps Marissa should have her own CTB FB page.
    Can’t wait for more inspiration.
    Thanks Dusty and Marissa!

Marissa this is such a fine idea. cuts down on weeds. I love it where can one purchase the long tarps like you used? The burning the hole in there was a fine idea. I've used gardening cloth in small flower bed but burning the holes would have been so much quicker and easier for me. Fine idea keep up with the fine ideas I am looking forward to seeing your garden.

    HAPPY DADDY'S DAY DUSTY !!!
    🎈🍷🍾🎁🎁🍰🎂🍰🎁🎁🍷🍾🎈
    Bison; " Well...lookey here !
What's mom & dad got for us to play with today?!"
(Then they jump on the equipment & try to figure out what that black stuff that's on the ground)
Bison; " Is this black stuff good to eat?"😁😂😃
Egg shells, any left over salad, banana peels are good for plants and coffee grounds &🌲needles are too.
The Pine needles help keep the soil from blowling away, bugs away.
I've had food gardens, flower gardens, herb gardens, medicine gardens for 17 yrs when I lived in the Pine Barrens.
Take some Pine Needles, rinse them, put them in boiling water for 10 mins, strain the needls out, put some honey in if you like and drink it like tea. It has plenty of Vit A & C.
Good luck with your flowers !
    🌱🌷🌸💮🌺🌻🌹

They just want to be apart of the activities. Enjoyed watching them jumping around like kids. Beautiful flowers.
