The reason you noticed the difference in ostrich between brands is because very few companies take the extra steps necessary to process the hide. (You need to hammer each of the follicles) From mass market brands, I can only think of Delvaux and Hermes that takes these steps. However more specialized bespoke artisans are more likely to include the extra steps in processing since they aren't beholden to their corporate overlords.

Lili is wonderful and her husband is very skilled with exotics too! Handbag powerhouses! There’s plenty of other amazing ones! Atelier Peter Nitz out of Switzerland is highly regarded too. Quyn atelier out of Vietnam has amazing hardware with semi precious stones or hand engravings. There’s honestly too many to name haha. From personal experience, I’ve had amazing results from Graziat who made me a set of Himalayan croc derby shoes and a Himalayan croc bag to match it.

This will help me to go forward with a bespoke artisan in the future since i am seeing more meticulous quality of work and the final product 🫣

Hi 👋🏻. I like to use my bags so it was really easy for me to choose matte croc 🐊 With matte, over time the finish will become more sheen/shiny. With shiny croc, it can loose the shine over time… and more caution needs to be in mind. Lisse/Shiny croc looks so elegant and proper 😍 but I wanted a bag slightly easier to use so I asked for a matte croc. I would suggest to look at resale croc bags to see how it ages. I do want to want a Lisse croc in the future 🫣 thanks for watching!

I have yet to encounter the stingray leather. I have only see on instagram and YT. Some of the luxury houses do offer stingray but is very limited. I hope to see and feel it in person one day 😊

You need serious patience with some though. 1-3 years wait post order isn’t unusual. (Just like the whims of an H horizon order) 🤣
I can understand for independent small business, but man 3 yrs is pushing the patience 🤣🧘🏻♀️
