They were in different universes.
Plus, his character died in that movie.
Mark Hammil as Mojo is easilly the best casting choice you've ever made! That's down right perfect and I can't imagine anyone else in the role now.

I don’t think age would be too big an issue. He’s already got voice acting down and this’ll be a CGI role so they could dial it back. I think Mark Hamill is spry enough for it.

Stryker was only connected to Wolverine's origin in the movies. In the comics, he is a religious fanatic with a messiah complex and has no connection to Wolverine. He was the villain of the best X-Men story God Love, Man Kills. In the movies, he was a placeholder for Dr. Cornelius.
Sort of like how Whiplash in Iron Man 2 is a mix of Crimson Dynamo and Whiplash
Fox wouldn't portray him as a religious fanatic that he is in the comics.
Hopefully Disney will, William Stryker is a lesson in the evils of religious fanaticism

@@anubusx If I had to guess, they're going to make the Netflix stuff take place in an alternate timeline. Probably going to wind up being wrong, but I saw a "leak" saying that Agents of SHIELD is going to tie both the Netflix/Hulu stuff into the MCU proper. Basically the TV stuff takes place in the timeline 2014 Thanos left to fight in Endgame. Plus with Multiverse of Madness happening, it allows them to open up to more crazy stuff.
Not at all! He's a great choice and...I mean, technically Josh Brolin is two characters in the MCU already (I wouldn't count it but they literally draw attention to it) It doesn't really come off weird because of the HEAVY CGI for Thanos... exactly like it would be for Apocalypse.
Even discounting Blade, there's precedent for the recasting of minor roles. Gemma Chan was Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel and will be playing Sersi in Eternals. It's rumored that Michelle Yeoh will be in Shang Chi when she already had a minor role in Guardians 2 as Aleta Ogord. I could definitely see Marvel go down that route.
I think Tony Todd (The Candyman) would make an awesome Apocalypse, I've met the guy too.
I think it's a bit unfair to say that Oscar Isaac was miscast. I 100% put the failure of his Apocalypse to Bryan Singer's horrible taste in X-Men costume design and Simon Kinberg's horrendous writing for his character. Oscar Isaac can be menacing and intimidating when he's given the opportunity (see Ex Machina or Drive). Josh Brolin is 5'10" but we have no problem buying him as the large and imposing Thanos because of excellent CGI and the terrific writing for his character. Put Javier Bardem in that stupid Ivan Ooze makeup and have him pick the first four mutants he sees as his Horsemen and even he would have trouble being taken seriously.
Someone call up Kevin Feige and get this man in the casting office for the MCU!! This whole series was perfect! Great casting for all roles!!
Great casting! I'd personally love Yvonne Strahovski for Emma Frost. Shows a lot that condescension and manipulation as Serena-Joy Waterford in The Handmaid's Tale, as well as moral ambiguity.

I am a HUGH Emma Frost fan and Gone Girl is one of my favorite movies. I never thought about Rose playing Frost but its perfect casting,

You should do fan castings for some rumored characters and confirmed shows like the new Percy Jackson series, avatar the last Airbender, and you should also fancast mortal combat and the new avengers for mcu.

I feel like Percy Jackson would be a little harder bc I think they wanted to hire more age accurate so the cast would be a LOT younger, but I’m excited to see what he comes with

This is the only fancasts in RUclips I always agree. You really understand the characters very well and pick actors that can embody the roles unlike some RUclips channels that only pick because of looks.
Vanessa Kirby or Rosamund Pike for Emma Frost. Either would be good.
Vanessa Kirby would be a great younger casting option for sure.

Rosamund Pike may be locked down for awhile as she's a playing a major character in the upcoming The Wheel of Time series.

With that being said, there's no disrespect in appreciating this RUclipsr's casting choices for the X-Men. As the X-men are my favorite superhero team, I would like to see them done well - - for a change. So far, I really like his actor choices and his reasons for why he chose them. I don't agree with all of his choices, but out of the few RUclipsrs that have done videos of this type, I can really get behind most of his choices for the roles.
@@Maxered but even if they're not your ideal actors, you gotta admit that the actors chosen by the casting Director of the whole MCU have been perfect so far. She's even behind Josh Brolin and others.

It would b best to cast unknowns for the main cast especially for Team Avatar. However Jackie Chan is the only person I can see pulling off Uncle Iroh.

Or a possible dream-cast for popular books that have yet to be made into films like the Ranger's Apprentice book series.

The actor you chose as Apocalypse should be fine regardless of him playing a previous role in the MCU, the black mercenary working with Crossbones who was shot down by Redwing in Civil War previously played Thanos in the MCU briefly, and Gemma Chan will now be in Eternals as a new character after previously being in Captain Marvel, he should be fine especially after being in movies much over a decade apart .
Also the chick that played Mariah in Like Cage was a different character in Civil war (the woman that guilt tripped Tony about her son setting off the events)
A person who looks similar to Storm should be casted as Apocalypse is Egyptian

The characteristics of Emma Frost you were describing, I was almost expecting you to say Natalie Dormer. She had a minor role in Captain America: The First Avenger, but I could see her coming back, for a major role like this.

Back in the 90s there was a movie of Generation X. I forget what the main villain was called but he was blatantly a mix of Arcade and Mojo. Best part of the movie.
Love that for your casting of Juggernaut, you used a pic of him in Spartacus but didn't mention his role of Crixus in Spartacus as an example of why he'd be good in the role.

I love how you picked Rosamund for the role of Emma Frost, but since I already got her as one of my all time favorite characters in the upcoming Wheel of Time tv series, I almost want to do a childish hiss don't steal her!!
But in reality the fact she can hide her true intentions so well and portray a powerful woman without taking away from the more subtle interactions she has with other characters is why she fits so well as Moiraine and would fit amazingly as Emma Frost too.
If you do Fantastic Four, please make Mr. Fantastic middle-aged or older. I'm sick of the movies making him a young man when he's supposed to be the leader and "father" of the team. It's like they're more focused on making him "relatable", when ironically Stan Lee's goal was to make the Four relatable despite what they are.
delta squad4577 The movies (the ones we’ve seen for now) are all origin stories. And, at the beginning, Reed Richards is just a young revolutionary scientific genius, so he has to be young. If the mcu do not make an origin story of the next f4 movie (like it is rumored), then having an older M. Fantastic would be better.

@@thepubknight6144 In the comics, roughly, yes... and then what ? Maybe they'll do an origin story that takes place in the 60's or maybe they'll decide to make him way younger then Bruce Banner and Tony Stark... It's not like the MCU never did things differently than in the comics.

Louise Simonson, creator of Apocalypse, was not consulted on anything for the movie or even told that it would be a thing, and upon seeing Apocalypse on screen was disappointed and called him a smurf.

Katerina St.croix I mean Clancy Brown was in Daredevil/Punisher (the Colonel) and then Thor Ragnarok (Surtur’s voice, Taika did mo-cap) and Tony Curran was in Thor Dark World (Bor) and Daredevil (Finn Cooley), but for both were relatively small roles
