If you were interested by the Elassoma gilberti, check out the video of me catching these actual fish down in the wild in FL. ruclips.net/video/O1XQahMK7uE/видео.html
I didn't catch the name of the black and blue fish in the first tank. But those were awesome. I would love to have some of them. Could you please tell me what their name is? Pretty please and thank you 😊.
That would be the elassoma gilbteri or gulf coast Pygmy sunfish. They are one of my breeding projects for this year to hopefully you all can also enjoy them.
I wish I got to join the premiere!! Brandon has an amazing place and such a great story!! Thank you so much Andrew for introducing us!!! I love when we find a fellow fish and Aquarium enthusiasts it's like finding a treasure!! Great interview and tour!! I really enjoyed the video!! God bless you guys have a wonderful day!!🙏🌿🐟🌿💚
I hope to do more fish room tour premieres here in the future that you can join in on as it was a great experience. He really does have an amazing room and I was glad I was able to meet another fish nerd in my city. I look forward to hopefully getting over to his place for some more videos about what he is doing because it is really cool.
@@TheAquariumLibrary it was awesome. I live so far out in the middle of nowhere I don't know anyone else. I guess that's why I love watching videos just so I can hang out with other fish nerds 😂 Have a great night and stay awesome 🙏🥰🌿🐟🌿💚
I have seen the same Aquarium Coop video and it wasn’t nearly as intriguing as this guys set up. Loved this video. Guppies are pretty cool but the Gilberti and the “tooth carp” I believe he called it were outstanding. Also having a thing for the Apistogramma Borellii, but one fish at a time. I bought three 20 gallon longs yesterday for $20 a piece brand new at Petco. I know I’m going slow, but always have enjoyed the process as much as anything. Happy fish keeping my friend. ✌️
Brandon will appreciate the compliment. I personally like his better because of the back wall of wood planks. Really adds to the whole look in my opinion. The other fish was the aphanius mento. Brandon also loved his apistos as well. I like a slow controlled expansion rather than a rapid chaotic one myself as well.
@@TheAquariumLibrary I thought that looked like planks, but it really didn’t dawn on me until you mentioned it. Gives me another reason to watch again. He has really given me some ideas. Now having said that, we don’t have Menards down here, but I think I have found your rack system at Lowes. I’m just trying to figure out an ideal length right now. I really have to get the tanks off my wife’s nightstand and dresser before she blows her top. LOL I appreciate your video content. You really get to the things people need to know without all the garnishment. I wish you the best.
dang no motar mix? thats wild. I live in California and i can only imagine how that would end. Beautiful fish room. i like the different wood pieces as the wall. looks awesome!
Yeah in California you might have more issues, but Zenzo from Tazawa tanks has a very similar design in San Francisco and hasn’t had problem. I’d definitely be more worried in California but don’t have that same worry in Kentucky. Yeah the backsplash of wood for his tanks looks really good and definitely makes it feel more fancy.
if i was to do this, i would run the system the entire width of the room, wall to wall, and use walls to brace the whole rack. this might be what he did, using the fireplace at one end, the wall at the other. that way it's safe. in an earthquake zone, strapping it to the back wall with metal cleats could be added. the only other thing i would do is paint the wood and blocks to look like a book shelf.
So 2 questions. What is that blue and black fish that can kinda dance with those from lower fins? And what was the fish called that eats the parasites ?
That would be the elassoma gilberti. Beautiful little fish that I’ve detailed in other videos on my channel if you are interested in learning more about them.
Thanx alot. Ive never seen them before they look amazing this is the 1st video ive seen n will be watching alot more of yours. Another sub here.. thanx again 👍
Thank you Yayo. I enjoy making it and being able to share really cool things like this with you all because these videos are what I draw inspiration from when thinking of how I want to do things.
That might have happened off camera, or only mentioned it once, but in total for the wood, blocks, and stain was less than $100. closer to 70 or 80 we reckon.
If your guppies get in the way of your relationship, get rid of the relationship, the guppies will bring you more lasting satisfaction, the relationship won't

Love the variety of fish in this room!
Me too! And he keeps getting more new fish every time I talk with him.
I found that Northern Sunfish or Lepomis peltastes do a very entertaining dance as well !:)
Huh. Now I want to try and find a video of them dancing.
I've seen them do it live on the spawning beds. Their turquoise fins just flare all over the place!
What the fish name at 14:28. The blue fish that’s does the cool dance?

Great tour
so would water changes cause issues seeing it's held together by water weight. Great looking tanks !
Can anybody tell me what was the final solution for the planaria outbreak @ 12:50 ish ? I replayed it a couple times but can't seem to get it.

Beautiful and beautiful and very nice 👌😍❤
It is an amazing fish room indeed!
Awesome tour thanks for sharing.
You’re most welcome Trevor. What was your favorite thing about the tour?
@@TheAquariumLibrary I really like the way he used the amount of space he had to get the best bang for his buck. He had some great guppies as well.
Thanks for your videos. Can you tell me the name of the fish in 14:30 ??
Those are elassoma gilberti
GOALS - love this tour!
100% agree. Would love to have a fish room like this in the future.
What was the name of fish you mentioned in the 1st tank. I didnt quite catch the name. Its the blue one that does the little dance with its fins??

What’s the name of the blue fish at 14m:18s?
I’m trying to find that out to lol

I have anxiety for you! looks great though!
Amazing room. Good stuff
Thank you! What was the most interesting thing that you saw in it?
So either you never use the fireplace or you move your pc everytime you want to use the fireplace? I'm confused and concerned.
Fair, but I don’t think he ever uses his fireplace.
how do I make an culture great video I hope you have a great rest of your day
What type of culture are you trying to make?
@@TheAquariumLibrary So that i can feed my fish fry ( Babys) I hope you have a great rest of your day
Gotcha. Hope you are successful.
Are these 20 gallon tank
Yes all but the center tank are 20 gallon longs.
dang. Those thin blocks give me anxiety
I thought the same thing but they have held up for him well all these years.
I enjoyed this video , did he say how much his total cost was on the rack?

@@BB-bv6uq You are most welcome
Brandon needs a youtube channel. He looks like Mark Shelly lol
I’ll try to convince him but that might be a hard sell. I’ll let him know.
he has striking looks, like a greek god statue. i could see him being in one of those period pieces from roman days, ben-hur? just saying..
