Question of the episode - What is your take on EXPLOSIVO?
It’s not too bad but it seems to blow up when you don’t want it to
Its a better version of the Fire Mind item, simply because you have some sorta control over which enemies are gonna explode, that being said it still has the chance to blow you up but the damage that it deals makes me oversee its downside(at least in my opinion)
If I got good hp ill take it, definitely better than firemind because you can actually tell when its going to explode.
Every time I see it my dopamine gets duplicated, this item has never caused me any negatives to my run, it is extremely strong against early to mid game bosses, as you get more damage it can actually be quite respectable against late game stuff, although not as effective, the only downside is you hurting yourself from stupid jumpy spiders, but other than that i dont see any other reason not to pick it up
It is a very interesting explosion item. It has some time to respond to the explosion sticky before it booms, the explosions stack, and if I have an item that synergizes with explosions (walnut, pyromaniac, etc) that's just gravy. I don't take it with low HP characters (Keeper, Blue Baby, T. Keeper, T Lost or Lost) because it may just murder me.
The explosivo tears were causing tearing and collision damage while the bosses were going underground, that’s why those bosses insta-died.

I believe Explosivo got indirectly buffed because repentance made bombs ignore boss armor, and I'm pretty sure explosivo tears work just like bombs. Also since repentance explosivo tears now do actual damage on impact, which was really stupid that they used to not do contact damage.
I love the glitches that have been popping up with segmented bosses recently. Butt-less Scolex from a week or two back was horrifying, but they one upped that with body-less Scolex. 😂
after almost 5 years of watching these vids to fall asleep this is my day 1 of watching them when they come out! love a good brimstone run!!!

Explosivo is explosiv-bad - so I thought at the beginning of the run, but boy did it put some work in! Starting stats were alright, save for movement speed. Immediately picking up Tech .5 is pretty good, and our bad movement speed was immediately corrected. Floor 2 was nothing to cry home about until we got freakin' Brimstone in the first Devil Deal! Getting insane items like that so early in the game always influences the score on Jasonator53's Repentance Eden Run Dunk Rating. By the midgame, our stats were just about handled, and Twisted Pair just compounded on that. Crazy Sacrifice Room play, which, in conjunction with a random Card Against Humanity, got us 99 cents before floor 5 (too bad we didn't really use them). Also worth mentioning that we got our Devil Deal off of a 33% on that XL floor, and Cricket's Head immediately afterwards is just insane. The Dark Chest gave us Incubus and Guppy, and whoa mama it's hard to complain about that. The Lamb barely lived for 10 seconds, and we even took the fight to Delirium.
Very powerful run! Sometimes the game just plays nice, and I think Brimstone-Cricket's Head-Guppy-Twisted Pair-Incubus definitely counts as that. The use of Explosivo definitely caused that damage to "ramp up" over the course of a room, so this run scores an 8.
Not watched the video yet. Saving it for having my cup of tea once my kid is in bed. But the title alone has me excited haha
Cursed eye is overridden by Brimstone thankfully (and many built-in charge items) so taking it would fully remove it from the pool, which would help find Guppy!

To me it seemed like the explosivo tears attached itself to one segment and when pin dived against the wall the segments of the boss overlaped wich repeated the tear damage multiple times for big dmg.
One of the strangests episode so far! 4 rare rooms and bodyless horrifying scolex!

Explosivo is a Tenacious D song, how can you go wrong? It's not necessarily a must-pick for me, but it has carried its fair share of runs.

I will say sin (I hope this doesn't come off poorly) I imagine the viewers that watch you and are critical, probably treat it just like sports spectators and just see you as a spectacle of greater gamers and we just are playing the game through you in many instances. I think we always want you to kick ass here. But because this is our viewing spectacle, I believe we always have an insight on the best way to achieve what you are already achieving. Thank you for providing a forum for us to chat about this and admittedly, I am like , "damn, why did he do that". When I think about everything, I feel silly. I know that you are not just playing a game, but also concerning with giving us good commentary and giving your community a good experience. Thank you!
Weather here has been far worse than 35-40. Heh, got to -22 at while at work and it said feels like -40. Not sure how they get the feels like temperature. My guess, an intern fresh from Florida stands outside.

I wouldn’t take explosivo, but on a side note; i have Issac on the PS5 and I just got Issac also for my PC, and I didn’t relies how hard it is. I always have watched your videos and thought man it’s such an easy game, it was my own delusion telling me can do the same as you with little experience but I’ll get there.
