Hi :) I was going to get this Daisy Avanti Champion 499 as a first gun for my daughter, butt i cant find it here in my country, so i did buy the Daisy M25... i realy hope she likes it... she is only 7 years old, i got it for her as a 8 years B-day gift... if not im going to switch it out for a Benjamin Clasic 1377. that one is a winner. Best regards from Norway
From the looks of your chronograph someone needs to raise their point of aim or put a plexiglass shield in front of the glass.Great video coming from a avid airgun shooter for over 55 years.Keep up the great vids.
This was the very first video of yours that I saw before I subscribed! The room looks less cluttered back then :P I ended up getting a Daisy 74. Semi-auto CO2 and it was only $23! Still tempted by that Red Ryder now that the price has gone down.
+Benedict Benito - Hahahaha, well the room usually just pack up and then get clean up and pack up again! It's like that here! The red ryder is cool and cheap for all day shooting for sure. Not bad for what it is for!
Dude i Really like your Channel ! If this gun is so accurate then it should shoot accurate on a larger range!? Tell me what you think is the max range with this Daisy. Greetings from germany
I have both red ryder and this, and it's really not the same kind of grouping. RR is accurate for a bb gun at that range, a great buy,. but this one is "precision" grade, you hit the spot exactly where you want, it's not like a guess and check kinda thing, not the same kinda grade. IF RR is just as good, they won't be selling this for competition and games, lol, you got to try it, in order to know it
very much! definitely a great gun to shoot once a while, at least you know it's all your fault that didn't hit the small penny from far away, not your gun!
One of the greatest rifle ever, Daisy Avanti Champion 499!
Thank you,, very exciting demonstration of the champion,, and also the great increase in power from the model 25 with simply oiling.
Amazingly consistent! I'm very surprised and impressed with that 499!
Your first shot from the mod 25. After reload. You shot 2 bbs. After you screw down the shot barrel. Tip the gun down a BB will fall out.

Red Ryder...most fun you can have for thirty Bucks anywhere .
Great video .. thanks .. the model 25 is my favorite air gun by far .. it's just Cool !!
Really it takes 10 min to get to the ryder

How do you afford all the cool stuff you have!?
Where is the oil hole on the 499?

Hi, must say cool channel! What kind of oil did you use for Model 25, and how much should be applied? Thanks in advance!
Thanks, you can use pellgunoil or you can use the power-oil from napel brand, or just some RWS chamber lube is fine too.
Thanks!
I can't get but 240 fps with my Daisy Red Ryder.
Oil it
The Avanti costs 4x as much. Red Ryder is a good gun for what it is.
I can hit a 2 inch plinker at 18 or so meters with a red ryder....rested I ca hit a one inch. I would love the avanti but it's too expensive

do you still enjoy shooting it?

You seem kinda biased toward the avanti
How? The Avanti IS really much more well built, it's not a bias thing, it's fact. IF you handled one you will definitely be the same as I today...
Im more accurate with the ryder
